received my 10dbi antenna from hong kong and boost the xmit power to 80mw but not much improvement. The Received (RX) show no packet lost. But
Transmitted (TX) with few packet lost. Overall ok lah..

Kalau pakai kerbau ko set kepada 62mW :-) that is max just nice settings

After doing a lot of troubleshooting, it is now confirmed that there is a problem with the router's wireless components. It is still working fine just that the wireless connectivity is gone. I now have to hook it up with a D-Link router to have wireless access.
*
Wow that's bad get a kerbau to replace that router . You boost to much mW to your antenna? Sorry for what happened to you . D-Link should be okay for temporary use

weird, MX510 is having a same problem as you. Suspected that overheating problem, but putting a fan does not help as well. Too much cosmic interference i think  laugh.gif

may i know where u live?
*
Yeah my kerbau with Mimo having this problem azmi help to install the fan but the problem still persist today. I switch it off the whole day today. Will try power it up tommorow however the LAN is working in perfect conditions. I think it's overheated. I will lower down the 62mW settings to normal settings afterwards. This is second time this is happening. sad.gif so sad n sedih lah

i'm from Bukit Mertajam (Penang).  I set all setting to default and also try flash with latest firmware also face the same problem. i just plug 3 x LAN cable to the router and no extra cosmatic or firmware changes. One changes is i disable the security feature for the router. for past 6 months it work like charm, no complain for it. after i change the power adaptor then something like this happen. (i change the adaptor because the adaptor already malfunction).
Very thank you.

is that i face the same problem too? Last time i set to 128mW and now i set back to 28mW. actually it like happen once awhile for new firmware. if i use old firmware (V23 SP2) then gonna be once a day.
*
I'm using dd-wrt Firmware: DD-WRT v24 RC-5 will set back to 28mW tommorow luckily azmi agree to borrow me his kerbau. If that wireless devices chip is damaged i have to send for RMA

Finally i power up the router in the office today. Working perfectly due to overheated problem.

DD-WRT
Router Model
Buffalo WHR-HP-G54
Firmware Version
DD-WRT v24 RC-5 (11/22/07) std - build 8422

I change the 62mW to 28mW will see how long it will last long. The last problem was due overheat, I also set power down wireless on non peak hours 4 am to 7 am to make sure it rest a bit. It also will auto reboot every 12 a.m daily.

If problem persist i have to flashed into different firmware maybe this version is not stable.

It could be because of unstable release of dd-wrt you installed. Did you try to install the stable version of dd-wrt v23sp2 on it? Does it show the same result?

Will try older firmware later :-) maybe that could be the problem

DD-WRT v23 and higher supports this router.

Sign into your linksys router and use the firmware upgrade web interface to update your router with dd-wrt.

The stock firmware from Linksys on the WRT54GL v1 and 1.1 won't accept a firmware image over 3MB in size (you will get the error: "Upgrade are failed!"(sic) if you try) so you will need to flash the micro version of DD-WRT onto the router BEFORE flashing the standard, voip, and vpn versions. Make sure you reset the router to factory defaults in dd-wrt before you upgrade to the standard, voip, and vpn versions. (Mega builds will NOT fit on this router)

If you make the mistake of not upgrading with the micro or mini version first, you will end up with a router that has a flashing power light. You will be able to ping the router, but will not be able to access the GUI. You will have to TFTP the Linksys firmware back on to the router and try again. You can download the Linksys firmware from their site. You can't TFTP the dd-wrt firmware to the router at this point.

Yeah GL cannot support mega package :-)
