can't compare the list to vote for the best, as I've only read LOTR and SoIF
others will be Raymond E. Feist's riftwar + serpent war saga

Among the 3, LOTR is the grand daddy of all fantasy novel, at time it's a bit hard to swollen as it's written in classical english style.
But nonetheless the plots and the storyboards are great, albeit the lack of female characters
