Please discuss your favourite fantasy series here.

The criteria for the poll was that the series has to be finished or contains at least 3 books in the series.

Hence why Kingkiller Chronicles isn't here. I also didn't include Teen and YA fantasy such as Harry Potter , Twilight, Hunger Games, etc . But if you feel these books are with the read even for adults then feel free to discuss it here.

I've never read LOTR. So I don't know about it.

In the list I've only read Dune and A Song of Ice and Fire. I liked them both but I voted for ASOIAF, mainly because the series keep on being good, unlike Dune, which in my opinion went downhill after the second one.

Different story if we are comparing ASOIAF and Dune alone. I think Dune is better. The philosophy and wisdom behind Dune is just amazing.

But I like Ender's Game the most, putting aside the author's weird political view. It's for kids but it really made me think.

others will be Raymond E. Feist's riftwar + serpent war saga

Among the 3, LOTR is the grand daddy of all fantasy novel, at time it's a bit hard to swollen as it's written in classical english style.
But nonetheless the plots and the storyboards are great, albeit the lack of female characters

Never read ASoIaF. but judging from the HBO series, its good
