New version of SwOS has been released!


What's new in 1.9:

*) fixed problem - RB260G wasn't reachable over VLAN;
*) power down port when it is disabled;
*) fixed problem - logout did not work;

I wanna get a customer router to replace the maxis home fiber one because I am using NAS now and the speeds are extremely slow! Pls recommend a good router with gigabit ports. Sms me at 0126564766 (Sean) the model and price

This is considered a smart switch, the VLAN table supports up to 4096 entries, please find its details at http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/SwOS and http://routerboard.com/RB250GS.

I'd like to replace my unifi router and also an additional wifi cum switch. So total 2 things with maybe 8 UTP ports used. I want it to be stable for the HYPP TV, but most importantly for playing network games with ps3 and also PC. Need to minimise packet loss and latency.

You may consider our RB951 series for all in one solution, this RB250GS allows you to connect to UniFi and HyppTV using any PPPoE router but do not provide any other services.

Hi abasan, they are different thing so cannot be compared directly, RB250GS is a smart switch, you need it for VLAN tagging and other port based setup. RB2011UAS-2HnD is a AIO wireless router, it can be your home or small office core router. biggrin.gif

Hi, I'm having issues with opening ports on the Huawei modem given by Maxis. Manage to open it on the Thomson router but when check online, ports are still close.

Will MikroTik be able to solve this issue?

Hi alxlwy, your issue does not seems to be able to be solved by replacing device, you should check on your software side first. biggrin.gif

Hah, thanks. Called Maxis about their Huawei modem but unfortunately they don't know the configurations to it.
