100k budget will limit you to the Forte and Inspira. Personally I prefer Forte due to its cabin which has a more premium feel compared to Inspira. If you can spend more, best choice would be Focus at 118k if I'm not mistaken.

Preve CFE if have to be within 100k. Otherwise yes, Focus is very good. Always was, been in several previous generations and driven one or two of them. Close competitor to the Golf, at most slightly behind. And the Golf is the benchmark in the C segment. You can also consider the Citroen C4/DS4. Should be a bit more comfortable than other Contis.
But really, the Preve should be rather close to those proper C segment cars (as in Contis), at a much lower price. Worth considering.

Pervert car, but if you can wait, wait for another year, just so they can solve all the problems in the earlier batch. Though the car looks cheap, but you didn't put interior design/feel inside it, so its okay la.
If not, Forte 2.0, but I agree with you, Forte suspension is.....adoi.
Inspira is another choice, it's very absurdly comfortable, if you stay stock and don't change a single thing. Good cruiser too.
Those are under 100k.

120k definitely Ford Focus. Go and test drive it once. Good looking too in metal, in pictures not so. Inspira is also a good car for its price, just the interior is a bit of a let down. Suspension is good, comfortable yet stable. Focus is also like that.
