yes she is... but i don;t think she's eligible to be a captain unless she can bankai

the only 2 person who are currently eligible to be captains are madarame ikkaku and abarai renji

if they introduce the two for anime, then the whole thing would be irrelevant to the manga already

or reverse the hougyoku

regarding the two 'new captains' ... as far as we're concern, it's part of filler episodes right? but does anybody confirm that those are new captains, not a flashback character?

what i mean was, the filler could be something like a flashback before aizen and ichimaru were captains and both of them defeated these two captains to secure position.

i don't know, that's just my speculation. because it does not make sense to introduce new permanent character when there's none yet in the manga.
