QUOTE(cicadasx @ Oct 29 2012, 11:47 PM) Sorry if asking noob question. i was running poland JB too.Im already using Poland Jellybean flashed via Odin, so now can i just update to Malaysia Jellybean via OTA update or cant I? If cant, what is another way for me to do so? Thannk you just downloaded the malaysian JB firmware from sammobile, flashing now via odin update: successfully flashed and i also have re-rooted my device already. Coming from poland JB, i feel that the malaysian JB is a tad bit more smooth in terms of scrolling around the homescreen. of course, i'm not noticing much difference since i came from poland JB to malaysian JB, which practically isn't much different This post has been edited by YouDontKnowMyName: Oct 29 2012, 11:53 PM |

QUOTE(meme00 @ Oct 30 2012, 03:44 AM) does anyone know what is the rrp for this phone now? is rm1962 for 16gb consider cheap/expensive or average? RRP for galaxy S3 right now is RM1999.i recommend you search around the garage sales section of lowyat forum. search for sellers like satu gadget dot com and alieamin. trusted and super cheap original sellers. if i'm not mistaken, i seen someone mention before that the phone can be bought for around rm17xx or less from them |

The reason why in JB, screen is the highest battery % user is because that is how it's supposed to be..
Last time on ICS, the highest was cell standby. that was caused by a bug that's now fixed on JB anyway, benchmark scores on JB are lower compared to ICS. in my opinion, i believe it's because more CPU/GPU is needed to run project butter in the background. thus, leading to lower benchmark capabilities Added on October 30, 2012, 3:25 pm QUOTE(elmodistortion @ Oct 30 2012, 03:24 PM) same here. I'm using it perfectly fine and super smooth. This post has been edited by YouDontKnowMyName: Oct 30 2012, 03:25 PM |

(following this guide on the 1st page http://www.jayceooi.com/2012/06/14/how-to-...laxy-s3-video/) do i really HAVE to wipe all data? or can i just use triangle away, then flash stock firmware on odin so that root will be gone? (i don't want to lose my personal data and apps) This post has been edited by YouDontKnowMyName: Oct 30 2012, 07:02 PM |

QUOTE(JC_jun @ Oct 30 2012, 07:34 PM) just use triangleaway will do, no need wipe data. i never modified my ROM. i've been using stock android, but i'm rooted.but if you modified your rom, and want to see the device status as normal, then you need to format system. device status still shows modified after using triangleaway will device status become normal again if i flash firmware using odin without doing a wipe? for those have experience dealing with warranty claim, does samsung actually care about whether you're rooted or not when you claim warranty?

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Oct 30 2012, 09:45 PM) What type of claim you want to make..? Once my sister phone stuck bootlooping and she went for reflash official firmware at service centre while her phone still on custom rom with the binary counter not reset. All went well..reflash without question asked. Flashing service...FOC i'm trying to claim warranty for the tiny crack on my silver part of the phone.i went to samsung SC near federal highway, the guy told me that i cannot claim warranty because it has been 3 months after i bought the phone.. i just said okay and left.. after going back home, i was wondering to myself.. the crack wasn't made by me, so it isn't a user-fault damage. and after googling, articles say it's a widespread problem. and also, if after 3 months also cannot claim warranty for manufacturing defect, then what the hell is the 1 year warranty for? QUOTE(waveweaver @ Oct 30 2012, 10:44 PM) The crack got nothing to do with rooting so i think there's no need to flash back to stock rom. Just go and show the crack to them. Try Lowyat service centre pulak this time Lowyat too far for me. I'm living in PJ QUOTE(farscope @ Oct 30 2012, 10:56 PM) i bought my phone second day last time when just launched i notice 3 tiny hair line cracks at the flash hole corner position. it's a manufacturing defect and it's not our fault.passed by LowYat SC and asked whether can change the back cover also was told unable to do so. second day for a back cover also cannot.. what makes u think yr 3 months+ silver side casing can? it's as if we purchased faulty items. multi billion dollar company and they can't even layan us If cannot claim, then what for they give 1 year warranty? like that don't give any warranty even better QUOTE(aBcD-| @ Oct 30 2012, 11:26 PM) yours is marble white? as last time i got black tint issue there.it wasn't obvious at first time but now it does.until now i have no idea what does it caused by Can you show me the photo of your cracked part anyway? I 'm curious whether it same as mine. ![]() This post has been edited by YouDontKnowMyName: Oct 30 2012, 11:55 PM |
