And so are gone the days of bricking as well. Is this a win or lose situation depends on individual... There's still the battle of fully (full S-OFF) unlocking the bootloader for HTC phones.
I personally enjoy the fact that bootloaders are unlockable legitimately now. Devs can concentrate on the more crucial part of making the device better. [Like instead of wasting time sawing off the padlock of a house, now can concentrate on furnishing and building crazy penrose stairs.]
The guide is probably for people who don't want to be on custom ROMs? Though I really don't see the point to stay on stock. CM10 is light years better than stock. Latest updates merged within hours, instead of waiting for a week to get that OTA. Then no need worry about whether version number correct or not before flashing OTA.zip.
Ya think Google is fast with pushing updates? Ya ain't no playin' with CM yet.
i remb unlocking a HTC device, not flagship some more..
like search till wan die.. stoped at cm7 no support for 9/10
totally agree with unlocking, makes no sense (for uslah, but google still needs to protect end users from data theft)
actually the guide is mostly used for
-getting from yakjuxx to yakju (valid excuse)
-unlocking (valid excuse)
-just rooting (not valid sometimes, just hear root and mistaken better...

root but no configure how better

)
-just flashing CWM (valid excuse)
there is a confusion for root and roms which is very very badly mistaken
they think itz a 1 shot custom rom +root = heaven and no problem guarantee..
and those after went custom rom, or rooted not knowing CWM is on board,
still wants OTA

they select all in one option in Gnex toolkit to root
but in reality, that option install root, busybox and also CWM recovery...later when the time for OTA, say fail this fail that

ask them got install CWM recovery or not, they say they only did root nth else

yeah, the dilemma here..
1click for all= root for those user
WHO NEVER READ hope they don't drive..
veli simple press right for gas, left for break, steering to turn..
enter car, hit gas, handbreak rosak...

not sure but is there a option to make the note send stuff in the native android NFC sender..
most probably it is sending through samsung propirity NFC sender which the app is avaliable in samsung store only
