Even if they earn 8 sen a liter...the sheer volume of their sales will more than cover for that. One of those huge petrol trucks already how many liter in it...and all they need to do is open store and wait for people to come, because everybody needs petrol, haha.

One thing that I dun get is sometimes...along the same stretch of road, there's like, 5 or 6 diff petrol stations...pity the guy who owns the station at the furtherest end...maybe that's why they encourage and perpetuate the myth that you shouldn't mix petrol from diff companies.

I'm going to be looking for industrial training in Australia, specifically Melbourne. I'm not sure if Australia has an OnG industry, but does anybody know if they have OnG companies operating out of Melbourne? I know its a long shot but I have tried googling to no avail.

Hey guys, I just got offered an internship position with Keppel Offshore & Marine at Singapore. Anybody with experience in this company? I also have another offer at MMC Oil and Gas in KL. I think I want to try for the Sg one, but I dunno if they will pay me enough to survive the high cost of living there.

actually maritime and offshore industry are facing worker shortage. slb predict 9 to 45k talent gap during the 'Big Crew Change'. Go google that for more info. Once the economy slump is over O&G will need lots of ppl to start rebuilding their workforce and the rise in oil prices will probably help.

What about those rig drilling companies?

The current company I am working with build rigs for people like Ensco, Seadrill, DDI, Skie Drilling. But I've never heard of these companies in Malaysia. Considering them as I might want to come back to Msia to work instead of continuing in Sg.

Don't think why not. Electrical stuff is one of the main components on a rig.

Pumps, Motor, Pipe and Electrical stuff is found all over. A lot of PLC, microcontroller stuff, RCN (rig control network) all vital to make sure the rig working. The HPU and hydraulic is heart and blood of a rig, but the electrical lines and RCN is the central nervous system & brain of a rig.

Can't the companies just pay the bond for you and you break away from it if they are that keen to hire you? I got friends from NUS who migrate to Australia and the company there pay the bond fee for them.

FPSO conversion? Try applying at Keppel Shipyard. They do all the conversions, although FELS is looking at doing FPSO newbuild.

Last year bonus almost 8 months =)

Anybody with experience with working for rig owners (eg Seadrill, ENSCO, MAERSK Drilling) in Malaysia? I am guessing the job is more towards finding contracts for rigs and also running day-to-day maintenance of rig while other drilling contractors will be in charge of the actual drilling operation.

Where can I find a listing of all oil and gas companies operating in Labuan? I tried searching online but can hardly find any. Only know Baker Hughes, Halliburton, Slb and Shell operate from there.
