Dear Forumers please help me!

I graduated 1st class Hons with Bachelor of Chem Eng in 2008 and upon graduation I underwent OJT at Milan, Italy for 1.5 year. Upon completion of my OJT 2 months ago, I returned to KL office and currently station there.

I am looking for other prospects as currently there is nothing (literally nothing!) for me to do in KL office! I handed in my CV to many companies over the past 2 months however still not receiving any news from them.

I greatly appreciate your kind assistance to help me to see if there is any potential opportunity that is suitable for me.

Hello there, I am reading electrical&electronic engineering in NTU now.
Do I stand a big chance to get in o&g industry after gradaute compared to MEng, CEng?

Hi there,,  thank you all for this thread.. its been so informative and fun reading through some of the advice and comments posted here..

However, I've gone through almost every page on this thread but I have not come across anyone with a similar situation to mine..
I hope someone can give me some advice on what i should do next..

I'm originally from Iraq(middle east) but now I live and study In the UK permanently (My family emigrated here about 7 years ago just after the war)..
I'm 34 years old now and just about to finish a degree in Civil engineering from a top UK university.... I know 34 is a bit old to finish a degree but its just the way things worked out for me..

I'm now seriously considering applying to do a masters in Petroleum engineering either in Aberdeen or HariotWatt universities (both in Scotland), hoping a masters degree will help negate the fact of my age and help me secure an eventual job in the oil&gas industry...

My question;
is it too late for me at the age of 34 to even consider the OnG sector? Will it be difficult to convince recruiters to hire someone at my age and to put them on their training schemes?..
