yes you can.
but you should ask us before you started the download.
the one in steam is of old version. so when you run it there will be a large patch to be done.
i think you gonna have to patch almost the same amount of new download.

for faction, i suggest you trial it yourself 1st.
on Briggs, NewConglomerate is the largest faction but consist mainly of new player so kinda feel hollow (big but no power)
VanuSovereign and TerranRepublic almost have the same population depending on the time 1 might overpop the other. they have more players that know what they're doing compare to NC. the best outfit on this server are on TR.
so if we ask any VS or TR player, he/she will say that NC is much easier to fight with (more easy target that dont even know what they're doing)

How big is the patch

depends, if the steam one is from the version before the OMFG patch then it gonna be like a full download size patch. that is around 14gb then.(i think less)
i just redownload a full client using SOE launcher less than a month ago at around 9gb download and then there was a new continent patch iinm only 1.5gb download. but my full client size as of now is 14.6gb.

The one im downloaded now has hossin in the update

I think of joining vanu so is there any lyn players that plays as vanu

they used to be alot of lyn player in vanu especially in TROL outfit

piewpong is one of them in TROL, one of biggest and most active vanu outfit

i recommend for new player try to adjust to the game first before joining an outfit, maybe after battle rank 5-10 u can start looking for an outfit,

btw there is VR training room for shooting range practice at middle terminal in warpgate

problem with VR is that they turn off splash damage.
so you cant really feel the usefulness of vanu gun like Lasher (LMG with splash explosion can even hurt enemy behind the corner)

My squad no good at defending

i just started using EM1 today after finished my NS-15m.
i didnt know that it was so good. i like this more than EM6.
also tried to use the GaussSaw again but still cant control the recoil.
that thing can only be GodSaw in the hand of good player. give it to me it just become shitsaw.
