Avoid Extremevac Sdn Bhd (KKKP-5675) at all cost!!

After booking with them the Japan tour to depart on the early Oct 2010, like most people here, got postponed and delayed TWICE at the last minute!! Giving lame excuses like last minute people pull out, ticketing issues with the airline, etc.... Plus both dates were told to me to be confirmed dates when i booked with them. Even 1 week prior to departure, i've asked them numerous times if it's confirmed.

Imagine the disappointment (twice some more) with packed suitcases only to be told 2 days prior to departure that the tour is canceled!!! They seem not to care that people will need to apply for leave.

After getting burned on the second delay, we've decided to get the refund. First cheque collected bounced. Given reason : Technical Issue (i wonder what other reasons that they could give). Few days after the bounced cheque only they reissue a second one which went through thank god!! These people gives their customers nightmare not only on the aspect of services but being unethical as well.

Their boss, Lai Mun Wai on the appearance seem like an honest guy who i guess this particular agency is really an agency which is looking to bluff their customers outright!!!

Rest assured that they will not see the last of me! I will bring this up with MATTA.

Kindly recommend some well-known travel forums for me to post this warning.

I really do hope that they will take action on it.

Keep calling them and try to talk to the boss directly. Normally i will straight drive to their office straight in the morning once i know their boss is in although i'm from PJ area. Talk to the boss directly to ask for refund and get him to pass the cheque to his staff if he will not be in as he's quite hard to catch although he'll be in his office most of the days.

Good luck to you and let's keep posting in relevant sites to warn everyone against them.

The thing is that they can state all the big companies below as their customers so i hope the HR people working for any of these companies below will revoke against dealing with them :

Then you better get back your refund and book with another agency if you still want to go to holiday. Good Luck. I am still waiting for my refund. As like ur case, 12 Nov called me said 16th trip cancel. That time we already applied leaves he tot we no need to work one....Really damn piss off.

Immediately after the cheque cleared, i immediately book with Apple (with totally identical itinerary)and i will be travelling this week. Although it cost more than RM 1k each person, but i must admit that the additional amount paid is worth it after trying first hand services from Apple Holidays. Everything is clear cut and services is tip top just the way it should be....all done very professionally, with full details on all hotels we're staying, etc.... Unlike Extremevac previously when asked, they will say ' errrr...i'm not sure have to ask the travel agent, have to check this will get back to you' but as usual one return call also dun have.

Their modus operandi is to offer 'cheaper' rates compared to competitors in hope to get more people to sign up and hope to get enough people to go for one tour. The problem now is that most people will only sign up if they know that the dates are confirmed (the same case as mine), so they will tell that it's confirmed although in reality that there's not enough people.

Can you give me the contact person and number of the person you spoke to in the ministry? Perhaps if few people complain the same thing then they will take action.

You need to keep chasing and being persistent in getting your payment back. That will mean that you need to sacrifice some of your time to go to their office to demand for cheque. It's sad that we as a customer have to do that....

Sorry to hear that...I will see to it that further actions will be taken against them. They were still advertising in yesterday's Star Metro section. I wonder how many more will kena from them some more.....

Wow....just got back from japan over the weekend and was very surprised how fast the story spread! I really feel scared for the rest of the customers who has yet to receive their money back...

Another con travel company down!! good work everyone!!! smile.gif

Now that everything's exposed i think it will be harder to get the money back...however since it's mentioned that he will pay back in instalments, then i think he would not dare to go back on his words as police have already identified him.

it will be good now to gather as much people as you can which have yet to get their money returned to go after him...it will be easier with more numbers as you will have more say.

Sorry to hear that man! Right now, as mentioned in the earlier post, the company has promised to pay back all the owed money via instalments (better than nothing). So possibly it would be good for you to go to their office directly during working hour and see if they are still operating and trying to track down Lai.

If all else fail, then you will need to speak directly to the members above who are still being owed money and see what's the action that can be taken together.

Wish you all the luck in getting your money back.
