The maxis launch is already confirmed, and it's no longer a rumour as I work @ maxis, lauching @ 14th December 2012.. just sharing this news as I am quite surprised that nobody leak the news yet.. hope that nobody complaining about the queue @ maxis.. NO reservation for iPhones, FIRST come FIRST serve basis.. Training for MAXIS staff starts @ 12th December, thus the "12th December" rumour is not true.. it is 14th December!

darn! I don't believe this....omg...! omg! omg! sure no pre-order? OMG...then sure kalah me wan if in-Q. malas wan in q..later berebut-rebut....haizzz... Maxis don have, but DiGi have kan? biggrin.gif

I managed to found some article here regard the no pre-order act by telco, Asia, and Twitter. I dont get it why the telco doesnt offer pre-order? emmm.....just cant get it....cant connecting the dot...here

okat here are some point which i think may lead the telco corporate to release ip5 without pre-order..
1) insufficient of stock, thus by taking out pre-order process, the telco can further reduce the public complaint...at least can kurang the complaints frm dissappointed cusumers (perhaps)
2) marketing strategy, by making everyone to storm local telco service branchs, thus making the scent suit to be snap and print out in press......

its really sucks la if no pre-order.... piew.... jatuh mood terus.... cry.gif

If Apple wants to be innovative and introduce new technology in their upcoming iPhones, they must start their experiments and research 3-5 years back before you can see that product out. There are many amazing Patents by Apple but we have not seen the product yet but I am very sure they are doing something on that Patent except maybe the market is not ready for acceptance.

This is what we called Research and Development (R&D) development... smile.gif

Hmm, no pre order? First come first? I don't think so le...imagine how they going to control the crowd if respond is extremely high? Being a big corporate, either maxis or digi or celcom, I don think they will not take any risk if any accident happen...

Weird weird weird...

see Nexus case...... everyhing can happen....

ip5 will be available in South Korea on 7th December. While, telcos began taking preorder since yesterday (30th Nov 2012).

the cheese of this articles was, it mentioned about Apple failed twice in their application to get approval frm S.K. communication watchdog regard LTE.

ok, here is the info related to ip5 and LTE (Swiss Telco case) and UK case

wow, pnya la high apple's QC..... (except ios6 maps tongue.gif )

i guess, frm wat I saw...only DiGi publicly publish their LTE implementation (under the name of Tomorrow Network - quite informative!).....Celcom, emmm.....not so user-friendly.... Maxis? emmm....not sure abt the telco.

Yeah, my mood with iPhone 5 has gone. Planning not buying it, wait until 7th gen iPhone out only buy. No point to get a device that people already use more than 100days. When reach here, not more than 200days then apple come out a new iPhone again, but what to do? Apple is still apple, no longer how late launch at Malaysia but still a lot of people will buy it.

if you need it then buy it. calm down man...... lol~ u like fresh stuff..... why so rush?

As a matter of fact, maxis center doesnt take deposit; they would just collect your info such as name and ic. Normally authorized maxis dealer collect deposit to secure their sales. (Also additional money for them to bring in more units with cash in hand).
*
huh? meaning to say, right now they are actually .....in fact doing the so called 'pre-order' now????????? so what the different with the usual pre-order ????? t

if you are following this forum, you will notice that mid november one of the authorized dealer is collect deposit in subang taipan. Most of the dealers are doing the pre-order out of their own intention, nothing to do with maxis. Maxis center would begin doing pre-orders once ROI was announced thru the websites or email.

Hope this would clear your doubt.

Outstanding countries that waiting to launch, info from Online Apple Store:
China
Indonesia
Korea
Malaysia
Philippines
Taiwan
Vietnam

Just wait, dun bet with your time and life… really dunno what Apple want to do, maybe we are the 101st country? or only launch by 28th? i believe if not launch after 14th, 28th will arise... = =

About the LTE band and the phone model, check here, see which model you are going to use and research yourself which band we gonna use in local telco… http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/

In the difficulty in choice of colour, maybe I can give one more point of getting white, besides scuffgate, for the back plate ‘screen’ protector, the black one will create halo effect at the logo and iphone 5 wording, because the logo and the word is kind a emboss abit, so sure got something like air around the logo and word, unless using wet install of screen protector…

iPhone 5 - the slowest launching and worst production iPhone since iPhone 3GS

Korea will get ip5 on 7th December...

Korea also getting it fast, Korea didn't block the sale due to patent lawsuit?
*
not sure about the legal battle btwn samsung and apple....

but frm what I know, actually Apple intended to release the ip5 much earlier but due to some difficulty to obtain approval from south korea telco watchdog....their applications had been rejected twice. Only third time, Apple managed to get the approval..... there is a link i posted here...but,...emm.....dun knw where it is.... :S

well, this is what i read from online news....... reality or not..emmm.... depend on available of stocks....

I have a feeling that Apple's main supplier Foxconn might faced some problem to meet the demand from China market alone. So, what leave for other market? WAITING is synonym with 2013....

one more update from me :

"...iPhone 5 is not compatible with 4G services on the 800MHz and 2.6GHz bands deployed across much of western Europe, including Spain, Italy and France. Instead, it works on the 1.8GHz band....."

Source

.....we use 2.6Mhz right? then............... *speechless*
