This is not good for us, MALAYSIA  cry.gif  cry.gif

Echoing an earlier prediction by BGR India, The Economic Times has it on good authority that Apple is ready to launch the iPhone 5 in the 1.24 billion people market of India this coming Friday, November 2. The App Store now accepts local currency and everything is seemingly ready for the launch as Apple works to achieve its self-imposed goal of bringing the iPhone 5 to a hundred countries across 240 carriers by year’s end. According to web reports, come November 2 the iPhone 5 will also land on store shelves in Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Malta, Romania and Thailand and is also expected to hit the Dominican Republic and Mexico
What u guys think ? Malaysia still have chances to for 2nd Nov or pushover to the following weeks or even months?
There are  saying no announcements , ROI ( Register of Interest ) and launching yet from our three main telco - DIGI, MAXIS , CELCOM
because of lack of supplies of Iphone 5 but seems like the news above overturn that.

Why THAILAND?INDIA? but not MALAYSIA hmm.gif ?

thanks janson_kaniaz FORUMER for the sharing of this video in the forum.

Look at this news article makes me pissed again, even small countries like Malta even gets on theirs before we do, I believe the demand here for the iPhone 5 has way far more than they do!

possible, but most likely need to wait slightly longer.
most of the initial stock are mainly for contract/plan.
you possibly have to wait 1-2 more months to buy the contractless phone.
*
I thought machines did sell the iPhone unlocked set last year?

5th to 11th? i don't believe so, usually any telcos would only promote new devices during weekends in some major shopping malls and not to mention we don't even heard of anything about when is the iphone 5 launch date. I think Maxis will prob cancel the event in mid valley for that period of time shakehead.gif

according to apple announced the date of India and Thailand on 26 oct and launch on nov 2 so that only one week of time for telco to prepare the ROI. So dont be so negative!!
*
haha, not that i want to sabotage your hope on this, i also want to get my hand on the device, it just seems suspicious tho sweat.gif

Guess the price should be 2499, 2699 and 2899
*
nobody knows what will be the actual retail prices for the iPhone 5 here, why don't just buy it through apple online store when it becomes available here?

QUOTE(junclj @ Nov 2 2012, 05:47 PM)
is this first batch iphone 5?
Hmm... I found that there have still many countries still not launch iPhone 5 yet. Foxconn should be more strictly to assembly iPhone 5 now, the following batch of iPhone 5 should be getting better and better quality.

I was found Apple facebook page at here https://www.facebook.com/pages/Apple-Inc/13...ster=ts&fref=ts
Hope you can try to message to Apple and ask them when iPhone 5 will launch in Malaysia.
*
How can they manage to produce to meet the demand when each time new countries launch the device more and more orders are coming in and for those countries yet to launch will only pushed more further away until Apple can assure that new orders are able to produce in time for shipping from those countries yet to launch the device

I heard some one said that it change to 9 NOV.
*
It's probably unlikely to happen on that date, it's less than a week ahead from the actual date do u think apple would do that? That's not the way they do business...

Exactly, because RM50 only cover 2GB data, so other RM20 is my cost of SMS and calls, as calculate with my previous record. I may get less than RM80, this amount is highest record I wil reach. For me it is better than RM100.
iValue seems like only RM100 per month but its SMS only maxis to maxis, cheap maxis! =|
*
Yup, I'm currently signing with surf more 50, pay extra for calls and SMS, which most of my friends are using Whatsapp, viber, and line..so, for me signing an ivalue plan with maxis is a waste, some more the packages only offer SMS and calls within Tamar network. If u're smart at calculating, buy the phone outright and take up a cheaper plan would be wise..

o.O, 2gb totally more than enough already
yet I found the internet value plan by maxis has been remove, maybe due to this surf more plan release then remove that internet value plan @@
really looking forward maxis offer it
*
it's the same package just they rename it and add more data, cause when i signed for the internet value plan, it only came with 1.5GB data, later got an sms, add more 500mb into my existing plan rclxms.gif

LOL like this also can
so now you pay rm50 or 48 per month ?
thinking to change to that surf more plan, currently is hotlink youth club prepaid 1 lol
for the iphone, is my sister buying
*
RM50, contract-free, if i'm not mistaken the RM48 package will tight u up with 12-months contract..i'm not quite sure also if that's for hotlink customer, but one maxis staff told me that package only applicable for new port-in and new number customers only smile.gif
