No worries, I really appreciate it. Do you have any tips on finding the best seats in the hall? I'd like to know if there's a general rule that I could apply for IMAX.

My favourite seat row in 1U is J. Think it's the best spot for encompassing the whole screen. Again, like the others said prior, the rows are a bit tight and you may have people's heads blocking a very minor part of the screen below. Personally, I'm ok with it since it just gives me that "it's a cinema experience after all with people being there."

Even then, the heads won't block that much since the screen's aspect ratio is 1.78:1 anyway, and the IMAX projector projects at the max of 1.9:1, so letterboxing will be there at the bottom anyway which will tank the viewers' heads in front anyway.

Sunway Pyramid is an option but I personally don't recommend it since the screen is very small/short. Wide-scope/2.39:1 scenes will almost fully fill up the while screen. Tall scenes will max it out but you won't notice the difference between these 2 aspect ratios when they switch. You might as well watch the film in a BIG hall at that point and save the extra few ringgits.

Did you watch Tron Ares? I watch Avatar 2 in 3D and surprisingly the 3D effect were really done well. The effect is in very high fidelity. Might considering watching Avatar 3 in 3D but as usual the story is very mid.

No haha, I usually watch films for their story execution, cinematography, vibes, acting skills and creativity. Tron Ares is mostly visuals which I'm not interested in. Avatar 2 was a let down (watched it in IMAX 3D at Velocity before laser upgrase) but yeah, the visuals were amazing. However, visuals aren't really a good reason for me anymore to be invested in a media.

I might skip Avatar 3 as well if the reviews of the story aren't up to snuff... Idk, this series is maybe the only exception to not skip because James Cameron's films are revolutionary in terms of visual and CG. It's like a tech demo of an gorgeous, wild alien world built from the imagination and it's realized beautifully with tech. But ya, I want to be engage with the story of the film than "oooh, that water pweeety."

I'm watching it in Dolby Atmos at Pav BJ. Considering the film is widescoped, best to try out the DA halls haha.
