Wow.. So many pull out from this car? Really ah?
*
Bro, the car and the technology itself is great. Just that the price and the feature that comes with it does not justify.
Plus in NAP 2014 will have a lot of incentive for CKD car. so it is better wait for CKD high spec IMO.

Ok.

In my opinion, CKD is cheaper but the quality built is not up to standard.

No doubt CKD will packed with more features and same price but I'm not so confident in local assembly. Just my opinion.

If you drive a CKD car, you know what I mean.  icon_rolleyes.gif

But the sunroof, is manually, Oklah. After all, beginning, sunroof is not my wanted list.  tongue.gif

Well I haven't seen the car yet since Penang branch don't have. Do you mind to share your opinion on the actual car built? like dash board design, material feel, door closing feel etc., does it feel premium like conti car? compare to M6?

ckd wont pack with more feature just like how it is with cx5, and furthermore, the price decrease not justify. either you stick with cbu or remove this car from your list since it is not worth the price. so far, no c segment and d segment car on the market fix my bill, sigh
*
Bro, cx-5 ckd high spec is better than cbu

Errr... Honestly, the Mazda 7 inch screen and commander switch can also give the premium feel.  laugh.gif

Only the air cond panel and fabric seat don't give that feeling.  tongue.gif

Then again, I can't wait to spray the rim in black and drive out. Without the small rear spoiler? Never mind. Still looks awesome anyway..  tongue.gif
*
Bro guilt79, thanks for ur review. from ur opinion, the let down is button emptiness, air con console and fabruc seat. If u wrap witth leather seat instantly can upgrade the feeling. The oversea mazda finishing also using satin silver for high spec instead of piano gloss like ours.

Well experience from my last gen CRV is quite true. Once in leather seat the feeling is different. U should wrap it.

I just went there but the DRL is more like normal car low light function. How to operate like BMW type?
*
Looking at the spec sheet from mazda oversea, there is 2 type of DRL of new M3, one is nornmal DRL another one is DRL with LED. Can some one verify our version is which type?

Also from about the emptiness, we lost right side of steeling wheel button and 3 out of six button from other side.
So is half empty tongue.gif

Hi Bros,

I recommend you read my topic here in Autoworld forum:
http://forum.autoworld.com.my/index.php?showtopic=107231

Appreciate that you take my poll when you visit the topic.
Thanks for your feedback as well.

I have been eyeing the Mazda 3 since the new Mazda 6 was launched. I did a lot of research, even to the point of researching the previous gen and talking to owners of previous gen. I also talked to previous gen MPS owners too. Just like many of you here, I placed the RM1K booking for this batch at 1U last November thinking that I can expect reasonable pricing like the CX-5.

The previous gen Mazda 3 CBU was selling at RM131-133K with CD changer, xenon headlamps, rain sensor wipers, LED tail lamps, power folding mirrors, leather steering and leather sports seats, trip computer with speed alarm, auto climate control, lamps on the sun visors, etc. Why is the new gen selling at much higher price with most of these things removed? The 30% tax for Japan CBU units have been abolished, therefore there is more room for profit. So shouldn't Bermaz at least give equivalent specs as the previous gen at this higher price?

What is this nonsense of RM6K standard accessories? What did Bermaz get with the car at RM128K? Seriously, engine bay insulation also don't have, can't Bermaz at least install this locally?

I have surveyed around for Mazda parts pricing and average waiting periods using the CX-5 and the new Mazda 6 as examples. I can tell you the parts are more expensive and there is a waiting period of at least 3 months for something as simple as a side view mirror. Even the CX-5 head lamps are very expensive (RM4200 per piece!), it does not even have any LED DRLs. So don't think this price gouging will stop at the car purchase price. Expect them to squeeze you some more during after sales.

I am very very disappointed to have waited this long only to see Bermaz behaving like another DRB/UMW. At least DRB/UMW parts are cheaper and they have a much better service network.

Still tracking on my whereabouts of the car.  tongue.gif

I think what we have is normal DRL. The LED is reserve for 2.5
*
some one say is led type. But when u examine malaysia version of M3, exterior have all the bell & whistle, 18" rim sunroof, Led combine tail light, Headlight washer... while interior features is heavily removed. Bermaz must had been done the research that those who buy mazda zoom zoom are those suckers that emphasizing on outlook and attract factor rather than on comfort and convenient unker group. tongue.gif

So end of the day, the buyer have to look into own inner self, what u looking for from ur ride. Then decide whether to proceed with M3, or go for Altis, Accord, K5 Optima or Jetta.

Based on all you complainers  tongue.gif  , I think Bermaz will bring the car with specs below:-

Interior:

1. Full strap leather steering with tilt and telescopic adjustment with paddle shift and multi functional button*

2. Smart Keyless entry and push start button.

3. Dual Zone Air Con with digital display.

4. 7' TFT display (without Commander Switch) for DVD player and Reverse Camera functions.

5. Leather seat with electric adjustment (Driver only)

Exterior

1. 17' inch RIM

2. LED Projection headlamp with DRL (no washer) with auto leveling an AFS

3. Fog lamp

4. Rear Spoiler

5. No sunroof

6. "Shark" version of radio receiver

Extra Features:-

1. 4 Air bags (driver, passenger, side curtain)

2. ABS, EBD, BA and DSC (no TCS, iEloop, & iStop)

*Function includes answer/end call and voice command, MID display and Cruise Control

There. Will cost around RM132k CKD (Based on 2014 Altis spec) tongue.gif

Cheaper 7k. Now that's a Mazda 3 we all wanted... Aren't we?
*
U left out cruise control and bose speakers tongue.gif

guys , mazda could be bringing in the 1.5 skyactive, ckd by mid 2014

*
The report same 1.5 to compete with local B segment, so expect a lot features will be remove. And it also said 2.0 will launch in mid year. Seems like there will be CKD 2.0 mid spec low spec and 1.5 stadard spec in middle of 2014.

Nevermind bro Guilt. Good thing comes with patients. I just back from show room viewing the only mazda 3 in penang.

Car color is white. Front and back have LED, sunroof open with 1 touch, but close have to press and hold the button. And can open a gap at back become moonroof.

7" screen is crisp and clear, responce is good. Aircon come with heater. Looks dated because no digital control.

Exterior is great. Interior not back. If the bezel is use satin silver instead of piano gloss, then it sure feel like in BMW 3 series.

Verdict: I will go for it. Those who have patients suould wait for CKD
