i personally think getting ipad mini better that ipad 2....but y they still quote the ipad 2 price higher that ipad mini...if compare iPad 2 with ipad mini...ipad mini definitely win in term of spec....

64Gig 4G ipad mini also need RM2K. Add RM500 get Ipad 4 64G 4G more baloi. At least got Retina.

other than the size, i do not see any good point of it, would go for ipad4 instead, A6x-large improvement from 5. smile.gif

Wow! That was a pretty cool event.

I was stunned by the new iMac. It kinda took the wind away from iPad Mini and iPad 4.

Heck, even the iPad 4 almost stole iPad Mini's thunder.

The bad:

1. A5 chip for the iPad Mini? What gives?
2. USD329 / Guestimate - RM1,099
3. Super-thin bazel - expect to accidentally touch the screen when you shouldn't.
4. Ratio - 4:3 - Kinda outdated.

The good:

1. Lightning to SD card = EXPANDABLE STORAGE!
2. As thin as iPhone 5
3. Marginally lighter than Nexus 7
4. Yet, bigger screen than Nexus 7

My recommendations for first time tablet buyers:

1. Buy a Nexus 7, since it is awesome and it cost about RM950.
2. If you like to customise your tablet experience, go with Nexus 7.
3. If you hate iTunes (download it and try) then go with Nexus 7.
4. If you are buying something for your grandparents, go with iPad Mini.
5. If you want quality apps, go with iPad Mini.
6. If you just want to consume media/books/web content, go Nexus 7.

Me? I'm booking my iPad Mini from Machine Midvalley as soon as they are taking pre-orders. Nexus 7 suits my parents more.
