Copying is ok if you understand what you are copying =) that is what my lecturer told us in class hahaha. But not everytime you can copy though, that could lead to plagiarism.

so it means i will still need to go through foundation?...because i finished stpm, hope to take a degree rather than wasting a yr for foundation..

i checked the requirements for accountings...it says for stpm--3 principles inclusive of maths OR accounts...i do have maths...so i still don't stand a chance for degree?
*
Nope, Maths OR Accounts. Since you have Maths, you're eligible to enroll then.

*
Oh the subject is actually free. 1CH, no effect on CGPA or whatsoever. At first they said it's compulsory, then last week lecturer told us we are allowed to drop it sweat.gif

He paid first , then autodebit took his money as well ....  doh.gif

I applied for auto debit too, but I paid by myself.
Just checked, the auto debit didn't take money from my account smile.gif

Do MMU itself offers merit scholarship? (not through third parties like SinChew, TheStar, etc) o.o Just wondering.. and is the website not updated (2013)??
I checked the FAQ section and most of the dates (entry..etc) are written 2012
*
Yeah, they do. 50% tuition fee waiver if you score minimum 7A for SPM or 3.75 for Pre-U. Then, you'll have to maintain >3.67.

There's also 25% tuition fee waiver, but I forgot what's the requirement. Try asking during the open day smile.gif

Thanks a lot. I will check it out...
Only 50%? Is there any 100% tuition fee waiver offer?  Unfortunately I couldn't attend the open day.. it's too far from where I live now.. sob. Im hoping to see MMU counsellors/agent at the upcoming Penang upcoming education fairs.  sad.gif I've been checking stuffs regarding the courses from MMU since last year.

By the way.. maintaining a cgpa for more than >3.67, is that even possible? 3.67 out of 4.0 right.. (3.67/4x100 = 91marks)?  rclxub.gif sounds hard as you need to maintain along the study period.. If couldn't maintain = termination of waiver?

I got straight As in my SPM, and I'm looking for creative multimedia scholarships to apply.. MMU bachelor of creative multimedia - media art is what I want but unfortunately Sin Chew and The Star didn't provide any scholarship for the specific course I stated from MMU this year (It's available last year, but this year suddenly change.. maybe the course is not getting any good response or what?), only animation & visual effects (foundation to degree) is available..  ohmy.gif
*
Don't think there's any internal scholarship that offers 100% scholarship. Gotta check out external scholarships for that.

For CGPA, 3.67 is equivalent to A- which is 75%. Not that hard to maintain, just make sure you do well in your coursework. If your CGPA falls below 3.67 but above 3.33, you'll still get 25% waiver. Less than 3.33, directly terminated.

Sigh  hmm.gif TARC and UTAR replied my enquiries on the merit scholarship issue today morning.. I'm still eagerly waiting for replies from the MMU staffs..  cry.gif

Not sure if you've gotten your reply already, but have a look at this - Merit Scholarship

P/S : 50% is for 9As and above. Sorry for the wrong info earlier sweat.gif

Nah, it's for the March intake students who just got their SPM result IMO.
Never seen them make any PUBLIC announcement on this.
I found out about this only when they attached the application form together with my offer letter.

I'm a spm leaver and considering where to study for IT and i found MMU is great.......these is my questions

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

So every senior, brotha and sista here pls give me some advice and idea,xD
*
1) Yes, all your fees will be covered. Just make sure you maintain the 50% tuition fees waiver

2) Monthly expenses... of course it varies from person to person. For me, it's around 300-500 (depends if I go out often or not). Oh, and I go home almost every weekend!

3) I speak English, but almost all my Chinese classmates speak Mandarin. So yeah... good chance to improve my Mandarin I guess

4) What I can say is that I know people of all background and we're still able to mix around smile.gif

5) Lol? Sometimes I wonder if yall are here to study or... Anyway, I saw quite a number of girls in IT biggrin.gif

Oh I went to the Open Day a year ago too. How time flies. Don't trust the person who guides you around the campus. Gave me so much wrong info sad.gif But their staff are not bad lah, quite friendly.

I doubt he's a student here, I mean the one who brought me for campus tour.
First, he said that there's no class on Fridays doh.gif
Then, he told me off-campus accommodation is rather far when it's actually just 5-10 mins walk dry.gif
