Healthy, active and eating.
Still thinking a name for him/her. Really headache. And he is very gentle with a smiley face always when it stares at you. Anyone can tell me how to identify its gender?

More pictures coming soon, i could just sit there for hours looking at it.

*Bought from local licensed fish stores not from illegal importer. And its better to buy licensedly this fish is cheaper than obtaining it illegally. At least save you 2k and up from my experience.

I heard their reproduction organs are hidden inside their body, and other physical features are much alike for both sexes, so its hard to tell the sex. Further reading :

But hey, u can still name him/her with a 'gender neutral' name, to be safe laugh.gif

Anyway its an amazing fish. Good catch there buddy thumbup.gif Mind to share the size and price?
*
Aha, no wonder its hard to search for this topic. thanks for the tips. Been reading about the facts on this fish all the time, it took me a great courage, luck and money to get this fish. thumbup.gif

Now i m not regret at all but proud to be the owner of it.

Size: about 0.7 feet
price: really wan to tell meh...

From wikipedia: "They have been described as having a reddish colouring on their sides which gets much brighter in the males during the breeding season. This colouration is the only distinguishing sexual characteristic of the lungfish"

guess i have to wait til its 15 years old when it reached sexual maturity.

yes, got an australian lungfish just yesterday after 6 years+ searching for it. Was quoted 6k/8k etc. bought it at less than 4k though.

My mind keep repeating "omg" for these 2 days. Think gonna see a neurologist soon.

just noticed aussie lungfish is much more cuter than its cousinz.
i wonder do they bite their owner fingers, and how do they react with their owners  hmm.gif

*
Well, i havent tried it out yet but better not. Last time i used to have an african lungfish, it just bit anything fleshy. I studied a lot on aussie lung and was found that its d most gentle lungfish so i think it will be good with me.

The first time I put it into my aquarium, it just didnt budge at all, think it was frightened by new environment
Now its very tame, you wil think its very curious that it is always sniffing here and there.
The best thing is, no matter what, when it has eye contact with you, it just wont stop smiling to you. Oh, it makes me day!
