i've recently brought 4'x2'x2' 2ndhand bottom filter tank..then i put in a juvenile Kaloi Sabah, 2 juvenile Red-Tail Catfish, 2 juvenile common Patin, a juvenile pearl+orange Pleco around 1", and 2 Congo Bichir (Polypterus Endlicheri Congicus)..so the question is,is it suitable for all the fish living together in that tank?
And i'm interested on the bichirs..i've fell in love with this species..so,where do i can get the famous Ornate Bichir (Polyterus ornatipinnis)?or are there any rare species so i can stuffed it in my tank?can anyone help me for the information for bichirs coz i'm new on bichirs and i need answers for all the questions from u guys a.s.a.p..thnx mates..

Yeah, i think it only takes 2-3 weeks with proper maintenance of water condition. My bichirs fins were severely torn by my turtle before, but soon they fully-recovered pretty well. Also, one of my bichirs jumped into divided part of aquarium, got sucked and stuck in the output pipe. He remains there for a while until i noticed and removed him. A big red mark appeared in his body (from the strong suction), i thought maybe internal skin bleeding or so. I was surprised that only in 2-3 days the mark had completely gone. U'd be surprised at how hardy the fish is. Dont worry just do ur part, and let the fish recovers.
In my case, i just used aquarium salt for every WC, and make sure the water in good quality. But u might try if the medication  works.
Hi bro. AFAIK plecos and other mouth sucking fishes are not suitable for bichirs, cuz in most cases they hurt bichirs pretty by sucking on their body. But as the decision entirely in ur hands, just keep ur eyes on them and be careful. Good luck  icon_rolleyes.gif

thnx for the information bro..i'll get rid of the pleco a.s.a.p..got other information for the bichirs, please do share with me..thanx again..

They eat a little bit of bloodworms. Feeders shrimp like too fast for them, then I get a dead shrimp and peel off the shell and one of them ate it.
