Went to HomeDec early this year, they are selling about RM1200 for 2 panel, each panel can fit 6 plug (if I remembered correctly). The package give 1 or 2 plug only, each plug costing about RM100++.

i think it's useful for places which has potential to have more plug like TV cabinet. Cause u might have Astro, ps3, later xbox, blueray player and don't know wat else later.

If using only 1 or 2, better go back conventional one

For kitchen is nice because you can place your equipment where you want and move the plugs and less messy. If its hidden, must well get multi point extension for TV, Astro, console, player.. Better still the multi point extension can plug into a surged protector and cheaper too.

From the parts that look and functioning, is a bit overprice.

RM1200 for 2 track and 2 plug? That already can buy the whole house 3pin socket and the light switch.

I wonder china pirated have this product since it is that high profit.

using eubiq will be more safety and friendly user and it much more systematic rather than using the extension wires.

I am using one for my dry kitchen. Price wise, won't get super discount from other retail shop. If only need one or two, is not justify to go around the "world" for only ten of ringgit discount. If you looking at volume maybe.

Not sure what you mean by conceal. Mine is direct replacment of conventional plug point. So far so good, I only have 2 "head", never really put more.

Oven have to be independent, stove have to be independent, cooker hob have to be independent.

Eubiq is for convenient, look smart and small load. Can use for boiling water, but when boiling water PLEASE don't switch on other applicances in the same qubiq track.

According to the Eubiq specs, the track can handle up to 40Amps.

So theoritically, it can handle all 3 at the same time; If we consider all 3 individual items to have a max of 13amps each...

The track can handle. What about the wiring between the fuse/CB to the track? The highest amp is the lowest side of the entire circuit.

Is like buying a car can go up to 300km/h, but the tires are only design for 180km/h.

In general any appliance that needs to generate heat like electric oven, hob/stove, kettle or water heater will consume a lot of electricity.

RM 269 + (3 x RM59 "extra plug") = RM 446.00, Your 3 extra looping cost RM 446?

For cosmetic is understanable, but for cost saving no.

BTW, so many looping, don't run high more than one current / wattage in one single loop. You risk burning the cable (if your mcb did not trip)

But it is only applicable on area where you need to plug a lot of small electrical appliances... for example kitchen or workstation... or maybe TV cabinet... rest of the area, it is quite useless

Is more for expose with neat arrangement. If you put in tv cabinet is waste of money unless is exposed. Anyway is not going to be neat if you put more than 3 socket in the 300mm length, the wire will not look nice. I put it because my wall look empty, putting this is part of the "look" in my wall and have few more plugs if I need in future.

oh... how many socket can it support? If one put a 2000W oven and also boil water using the same rail and plus cooker, will it trip? It is after all considering looping.

eubiq can support higher ratting, depend your underlying wiring can handle it is it 6mm?

http://www.eubiq.com/faq.aspx :
The track is rated at 40A for continuous operation. The plug is fused and rated at 13A; likewise the adaptor is also rated at 13A but without fuse.

Afraid that the electric stove, oven and fridge are powered independently. I was told this by the singapore eubiq people last time. Their showroom does not even show any plug for the stove, oven and fridge in their eubiq track.

For Malaysia / British adaptors, fridge no problem, unless fridge is >3000watt. eubiq track can handle total of 40amps, but any single connection it take 13amps because of its adapter. You run simultaneous 3 water kettle without problem (if your underlining wires is 6mm), but not run one 4000watt stove because the adapter can't handle it.

i bot from their recent warehouse sale which featured some balance from project. They were the older models but wrapped nicely and in good condition with warranty.

I saved close to 40% (from their usual home fair promo) for the entire 2000 mm (600 + 600 + 800mm) + 10 points + 1 surge protector - all for only RM1,186. I'm more than happy smile.gif

Depends on what appliances you'll be using on the track itself. High power voltage appliances better use thicker wire.

just don't overload your current wires with too many sockets & high consumption stuffs like kettle, rice cooker, oven & hob.

not sure how it protects against water splashes.

I have Eubiq but now I see that there are more competing brands around. I guess for electrical equipment you don’t want to get cheap unknown China brands which may cause hazards or worst electrocution.

Zenso is a cheaper brand and SIRIM approved. It should be cheaper than Eubiq. The only thing is the plugs are not as nice and it doesn’t have a lot of fancy assessories eg telecommunication features. However it looks safe enough. If budget is a concerned this may be ok.

I am a happy Eubiq user just dislike the price. You got to wait for Homedec or holiday promotions to get ok deal but they are still expensive. However the product is good and reliable.

i am planning to put the eubiq in my kitchen for blender, rice cooker etc. nothing heavy like hood or oven.

should be okay right for small appliances?

You really need to get a qualified electrician to calculate the load in your kitchen before you consider anything. Kitchen is the most heavy power consuming area and most houses tend to have only one power “highway” to the DB box.

So if you add fridge, oven, microwave oven, rice cooker, boiler, electric hob, toaster, garbage disposal, deep fryer, etc etc. Your single electrical highway will be overloaded! In this case you may need to pull another line to your DB box to split the load.

Otherwise, you have to make sure all these appliances are not turned on at the same time. If you don’t calculate the power requirements your Eubiq may end up supporting one or two plugs due to overloading issue

You can always install. The question is you need the electrician to calculate your average load such that you don’t “melt” your electrical highway to the DB box. Like I said, even my 2mil+ home the wet kitchen only has ONE wire to the main. This means all the sockets and points (including lights) are all returning to the DB box on the same connection!

Like I said if u do not plan to on all your devices this may be ok. A word of caution: in some houses the laundry area shares the same line as the kitchen. If you do laundry and with your kitchen full appliance load, be ready to for an expensive rewiring sometimes down the road

Hi guys, I’m looking for a power track and comparing between eubiq and Zenso. Price is like heaven & earth.

I see eubiq 1x 800mm track (with 2x 13A socket) is already RM750, whereas Zenso 1x 800mm and 1x 600mm (each with 3x 13A socket) is only around RM500.

If you guys are existing users of both products, can help share your thoughts and opinion after using it?

Not sure why is Eubiq so much more expensive. Is it worth the price?

Thanks!

If not mistaken, eubiq is the 1 that invented the eubiq power track system?

Until recent 2 years, the other brands trying to mod here n there and launch their own power track.... (though in txxbxx web already got a lot of their local made power track)

So 1st company with new product always comes with higher price tag, eg panadol vs apa apa mol/dol.....

in the end all comes back to u, depends on ur budget....

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Haven’t decided yet, but leaning towards Zenso cuz of the costing. Can’t seem to justify paying 3x extra. Haha.

Zenso is also apparently 100% SIRIM approved. Can’t go wrong right since SIRIM also chop already.

er.... living hall.... in my case... the plugs will stay on the socket (normal socket) all the time... so defeat the purpose of power track which is convenient in terms of plug in and out like kitchen..... and i juz nid to ask my electrician to link a master switch to control the selected sockets (inside/behind cabinet).... plus hiding all the wires.... sweat.gif

So not having in living hall.... haha....

Yo! we been looking at almost the same things.

bath accessories, eubiqs etc... lol.

Zenso is made in Malaysia right? 1/3 or Eubiq price.
Eubiq is started marking first so more well known ba.

but i suppose there is little different between quality of these brands

Power track is critical because you might be using for multiple electrical item. Some tracks cannot take up high load but Eubiq is certainly very capable

I have both retouch and Eubiq in my home attracted by retouch's price but decided to dismantle my only retouch power track and change to Eubiq. The twisting of retouch adaptor is really awful and keep feeling like something tend to break. Especially hard to turn by old folks. Anyone having the same issue?

Just wait 11.11 discount at lazada for Eubiq. Previously bought a 1200mm conceal power track with 3 nos adapter. Only cost sub rm900.. cheapest in town.. but I didn't install it.

Before that, I'm using a 800mm surface track for 5 years already. No issue..

For the 800mm track I'm using 5 socket there at kitchen. But I didn't on all at once. If u are using heavy duty things like oven, microwave, hood, hop better make sure the cable u pulled is thick enough and circuit breaker there is enough.

Im very late to the game on this cos now only want reno. So basically these tracks are useful in kitchen n like tv area if we want to move position or add sockets?
For kitchen if im using air fryer, nespresso snd microwave would these be a concern?
Eubix is the pioneer and expensive. What would be some more affordable but reliable options? Sounds like zenso?
But retouch seems filmsy?
Thanks.

I do not understand the usage or one of these socket tracks in the kitchen. Why not just install more sockets in the wall in the first place? USA guide is kitchen counter sockets serve 2 feet to either side, so there will be one set (1 set = 2 sockets) for every 4 ft of counter space.

Track sockets are all on the same circuit anyway, so why not just install more sockets on the wall when renovating? At least if I install more sockets on the wall I can split the circuits so as not to worry about using an air fryer and a microwave at the same time.

Do people add and remove sockets constantly on the socket tracks? Expensive, and flimsy, and don't last, need specific replacement parts, must hack the wall to install, safety is compromised, and I don't think they look all that great .... I honestly don't get the attraction of power socket tracks. Can someone please enlighten me?

First time install and using Nezens surface power track (https://www.nezens.com.my/showproducts/productid/4537808/surface-power-track-matte-black-iron-grey-500mm/), 13a adapter, and found the phone charger adapter is extremely hot compare to plug in to normal wall socket, is this norm for power track?
Take note it was only using 1 adapter at that time..
