Well the iPhone 4s is a few months newer and it did release at a much higher price. It was about 500-700 more than the note 1.

So in the end its about the same. That said being honest, do you even care about resale value? Do you keep buying and reselling phones?

As for the OS discussion, I am not sure what innovation people are talking about but if you compare the iPhone 3G with the latest and greatest iPhone 5, put it side by side. I think you can probably count with your fingers the differences between the two. Hardware and software wise. The simplistic wall of icons used to be awesome well due to it's simplicity when screens were smaller, people were less techy and hardware was limited. In today's world its nothing great.
