For Taiwan, Try changing to US$ 1st & thereafter in Taoyuen airport swtch to NT$.. It's cheaper this way although paying double commission. You save ~ RM30-RM40 for every RM1K you change from my rough calculation. Furthermore, the Taipei airport money changer selling up to market rate wth NT$30 for each transaction irregardless of amt.. That's the best you can get..but not RM hor.. US$

best to do all your currencies xchange here before u go as xchange as finding a good rate there is a nightmare. The best rates given for me so far is at MidValley at the LG Centre court next to the elevators. There are a few at MidValley LG so shop around for the best 1

Is this trick still applies? Coz i checked the exchange rate today, it seems to be more worthy to change NT straight.

Not sure, you can check the Taoyuen currency exhange rate posted in the front of Taiwan thread and compare it wth bank negara & current money changers rate... I no longer follow NT$ movement for so long

Huh since when the rate drop so low to 36.2? The best I think Early last mth ~ 37.1 for a day or two before going up 37.5, 37.3 & now probably ~ 38.3 till 38.8

If you can get 37, you will be getting much better than Bank negara rate liao haha http://www.bnm.gov.my/statistics/exchangerates.php

Can't be. Last mth I changed on the 2nd or 3rd day when the rate at the lowest for the year and that also 37.40 when Bank negara was at 36.4 at the lowest. And no one can get lower than BNM smile.gif Impossible to be so low.
