Pardon me for asking this, but how would the quality of PVC 808 picture be if the picture was taken by an amateur noob? I've read users here saying the success rate of a nice picture can be as low as 1/10. But I'm wondering normally how bad is the other 9? Is the 9 bad pictures still Better than other similar price range phone, say L820? Or even better than L920?

Which means can I set the setting at auto and take a picture without technique but still will get a better than average picture quality?

Gotten my phone few days back. So far very pleased with what the phone has to offer.

Impressive camera performance goes without saying. But for a beginner/ casual users the pictures still turns out very nice. Not for night picture though.

Screen! One of my biggest worry. But its better than expected.

And everything else im pleased with. Just that Symbian belle really look a little bit outdated.

Anyone can introduce themes or tweaks that can 'modernise' the UI?

Ya I downloaded a lot of themes from the store. Like the good old days with N series phone.

There are sellers here selling tripod at only RM16, with an adjustable clamp so 808 should be able to fit in.

Btw, sometimes I have problem unlocking the phone with the sliding button. is it durable in long term usage? I downloaded a software which allows double tap to wake screen up but apparently it's not working.

I'm going to ask Nokia store in Melaka bout the original cover later. Lets see if they know what phone is this.

What I mean is the physical sliding button on the side. Many times I slide it the screen shows flashes but remains unlocked. pressing home button to unlock sometimes no response aswell.

Ya. N9 was a boss. Too bad wazzap is a little bit too unstable.

I did not realize this before. But tapping on the top right Hans corner (Position of the clock) actually lock the screen for us.

Anyone using 'belle extra button' ? Works very well for me.now I can have on screen lock screen button. Multitasking button and swipe gesture for selected action. Ie changing profile.

Bad things always happen few days after one took off their cover. Applies to my N9 aswell. The dent is so serious i have to sold it off because of that. I can't stand scratches and dent on my phone. Shouldn't have cared so much for a phone but just couldn't help. So no more naked.

Software wise, other than the slightly outdated look of the OS, the functionality (bar the apps) is still very good for me. Since im a light user with my heavy usage relying on tablet, everything i need on a phone works well on my 808. So ya no complaints from me on software side. Update or not, if im already satisfied with what the software has to offer, any updates will be just another bonus.

p/s: My night photos still looks like crap. Its not even decent. Nothing to do with the camera quality i know.

Exactly. I was quite skeptical when a female salesperson approached me. But she actually knew of this phone and were able to introduce me to the accessories.

Btw, no matter how many times i enter this Nokia store in Melaka Aeon, there will not be more than 2 customers.

Worse than this still. The impact area is on the bottom right corner. Dents and cracks plus inner part also kemek abit. Somehow the polycarbonate on lumia phones are prone to dent once dropped.

Seems like you have extreme luck with your N9. I have my paints peel off, permanennt dirt cause by the original rubber cover and charging cover broken.

Btw, I think I will be buying this tripod. My brother introduce to me and found some 808 users bought it as well. looks very solid albeit a little bit difficult to bring around.

Thanks for the picture! It actually looks quite similar to mine. But the corner covering the metal part of the camera with your cover is raised higher than mine.

Menu>Settings>General>Send chat history (Send via E-mail or Bluetooth>Press> (Only get selection of 'via bluetooth')

Is yours similar to mine? Btw im on the same version as yours and there's a newer version on 2.11.80. Maybe you can try to update and see how?
