toshiba is building a lytro style sensor...perhaps we'll see this in the next pureview soon.

i recommend no cover at all.
i got the ori cover and amzer, both i dont use anymore.
maybe if want cover, i would go try one of those thin ones like from nillkin.

the lens has gorilla glass cover...
the lens mount...its metal...sure get scratched if ur not careful...
so use some logic la...dont put phone with keys etc.

the lens cap cover for the nokia case is kinda sucky cos it comes off very easily.
plus the one with no speaker hole, the ring tone gets muffled so sometimes u may not hear it properly.
while the one with speaker hole i dunno if its original nokia or not cos i dont think nokia site got show.

u try opening it from the side and see.
mine flips open so easily, quite a few others elsewhere also complain the same thing.

ya, tab side of cos its harder abit to open.
but that doesnt mean it cant open easily from the other sides, like me and others complain before tongue.gif
sometimes in pocket also, take out phone and see camera cover already flip open...
thats why after that i bought amzer case instead.

u can just use the slide key on the side to unlock instantly.
or if latest firmware, can press like home button and slide to unlock.

random by itself no.
random while using opera mini, got...same thing happens once in awhile with my android too...so that one is most likely opera mini to be blamed.

just cos its 38mp, doesnt mean the file size will be big.
u need to understand how the pictures are processed.
go shoot 1 pic all black, and 1 pic all white.
since the black has nothing really to be processed, the file size is very very very small even tho its 38mp.
for the all white, that is basically as big as the file size can be.

depends on what u want to do.
no one said u cannot use pureview and go closer also to get bokeh.
pureview over-sampling also helps reduce noise.
