This is my first time using HDR on my pictures and wanting to improve on it.

you didnt realized you over-edit until your subject start glowing and have halo effect?

What HDR software you use? Photoshop?
Try Photomatix Pro 4.2, it can generate much better and stunning HDR. Or use HDR Efex Pro 2 for soft - more nature look HDR. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Oct 11 2012, 03:49 PM |

1) reduce clarity to reduce halo

The pictures on those sites are amazing indeed! Well i'm just starting from lvl 1 on HDR you cant expect the best results yet.
