short explanation.... every stats can have from 0-15 (gen 1 & 2)/0-31 extra points in its formula

to add some more the stat is randomly determined when its still an egg if your breeding it~ so max total IV a pokemon can have is 186 which is 31 at all stat which is kinda impossible~

but that doesn't mean that if got 31 IV in a stat, they have 31 extra stats compared to same pokemon that have 0 IV in same stats....
besides, IV combination also determines that particular pokemon's hidden power type and strength...
if in 2nd gen, a shiny pokemon usually got high IV... iinm

found a Cobalion at Route 13 trying to SRing to get it shiny wish me luck haha~

Yes, Prof Juniper will give a key item that increase shiny encounter rate.

It will be reduce to 1/2000 something

Well Durant is weak to fire, but it can pack a punch against it too with rock slide.

Anything works in-game, just go what you like. Competitive or the battle subway is different..

If you want that particular underleveled Braviary I guess you could try again next week since it's a weekly event if I'm not mistaken~

EDIT: gonna stop SR for shiny cobalion I'll get it back after I beat the game when its at level 65~
don't wanna waste time trying something that is almost impossible haha~

I've got a pokemon file which held a shining charm and need to be downloaded from the GTS but I'm not using it coz I feel sooo guilty haha~

Does stopping a pokemon to evolve affect their future stats?
I'm now stopping klink to evolve so he can learn his final skill early. will his stats be lower when level up?

I've got the same question a few years back but until now I don't know the answer haha~
