My small holdings consist of (as at yesterday's frenzy purchase);-
emeralds: 12 radiant & 30 perfect stars
amethyst: 12 radiant stars
rubies: 8 radiant stars but not for sale because of my barb needs these gems to be put into open sockets.

My small holdings of radiant gems have almost been depleted due to the recent rise in prices ...sold for some profits. The remaining ones that I still have left in my tiny holdings now is for own char (barb & dh) consumption.

As far as barb is concerned, ruby gem of flawless star quality is good enough for armor gears except helm, whereas emerald gem of radiant star quality for weapons if can afford la.

Sell high (now) and buy low (later) that's my advice.

Anyway, I don't think that there is any point to craft a marquise ruby gem at all (unless your DH has a 2 socket manticore) so its plan is not mandatory to get.

I've seen 15k before for FS emerald and didn't sell!

Please drop further until the price is 12m or below gold then I might consider to buy 3x RS Emerald gem for upgrading into a Marquise.

I almost decide to sell off my last 30 FS ruby gem @25k per piece but change my mind from a collection of 40k FS ruby initially however am able to let go 1 RS ruby gem for 39m gold still got several leftover to equip my semi-retired barb.
