Went there last week (Loc: 3.195690, 101.679685) to change the broken alternator pulley/bearing (after it makes screeching sound). Arrived 10 minutes before 9.30am. When they open the shop, straight away check the car (since nobody else there), check the alternator, take it out & make the necessary repair. At 10.15am, everything's done. Cost : RM260. rclxms.gif

For 12 year old Kelisa, let me share my experience.

Recently, morning starting engine seemed no energy/power to start, but can start.
Suspected the dry-battery, korean generic brand, only 8 months.
Changed to a new BOSCH wet battery, stared fine.

Next morning, again the same problem, so I suspect alternator.

Sent kelisa to Pero2 workshop, they said alternator fine, must be the Starter.
Changed the starter (dont know if its new or recond unit) but cost RM300 + RM80 labour.

Come home, next day, same problem again, but the engin can start but struggling.

Could it be any cabling involved?
Any suggestions from any sifu or experienced folks here?

Thank you.

i suspect its your coil.
btw check also your spark plugs ,battery cables etc

Thanks Bro.
You  mentioned "coil"; which coil is this?
Is it the distributor coil or ???

I don't really know much about engine electonics.
I already changed a new set of spark plugs.
Battery cables looked fine.
Pero2 did the checking for alternator too.

yup distributor coil. but normally if its distributor coil even when the engine is idling theres constant jerking to the engine.
if its just on start-up might be your battery terminal , cables , spark plug etc. but since you mention its all new an okay.
rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif quite a headache also.
btw to check whether its your alternator that needs changing , start the car and unplug the negative terminal if the car is running straight without dying then you have a good alternator. if its not then time to replace or refurbish (**beware that this method some say would cause damage to modern car ECU, though personally ive tried it on a couple of my cars and it seems okay without any problem). the normal safe and easy method have to use voltmeter

Replaced before on my older audi when the 2-speed radiator fan only spin slowly after push by hand, took the wireman a few hours to complete it.
But... it only lasts for few days then jammed. So ended-up trade-in the fan with new 1, the wireman deduct back the labour charges... Process is too delicate as radiator fan's carbon brush etc are more smaller...

thats one honest wireman seriously.
people like this are slowly but surely dying in this world.sad thing sweat.gif
