u can save ur werk @ illustrator using .bmp, or jpeg, or gif, or png or bla bla bla...it is impossible to save ur werk in .ai format and try to upload it via website

i save as jpeg..open it with IE..
but it couldnt view the source..

i tho..in someothers way..u need to save as html..
only u can view the source?

do u try to slice ur work and use save for web option?

slicing in photoshop.. use slice tool to define clickable arae.

ler i think i know whuts ur problem...

open dreamweaver

-create table make it 1row 1 column ( under insert)

-click in the middle of ur newly table

-again go to insert click image , browse ur jpeg file click ok

save ur werk

upload both html and ur jpeg file to ur hosting provider
