3)usage: Many 3D games/ FM 2012/MS office
4)prefered : screen size 14" above + internal dvd + 4usb usb port+ i5 3rd Gen chip +RAM 6GB +HDMI port & screen+ good warranty & aftersales service+ Win 7

My son need it urgently & plan to use it for at at least 3-5 years without any problems..

Asus is currently one of the brands with the worse warranty service in Malaysia... Perhaps u would want to consider this instead?

off my head I know there is a Lenovo G780 (i5-3210M) which may best match your price expectation for a 17", or the MSI CX70 (i7, close to 3K)..

2. Not much difference unless you're using it for processor-intensive applications such as CAD/hardcore Photoshop/etc
