Coming from K800i and jumping into smartphone bandwagon especially Android platform is one steep learning curve for me lol. With all these bootloader, custom ROMS, kernels and all those stuff can make me go  rclxub.gif

There is just so much to read that I feel at lost when I browse XDA forum doh.gif

BTW, just want to confirm, in order for me to flash to custom ROM, I have to root my phone with ODIN right? So that means I don't have to flash a new kernel right? Can leave it stock yeah?

Samsung start for second time Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean updates Galaxy S III

Samsung just started for the second time the Android 4.1.1 updates for the Galaxy S III.
The Galaxy S III is Samsung’s best world-wide selling phone ever.
The Galaxy S III uses a big 4.8” Super AMOLED HD display an 8 megapixel camera and a quad-core processor.

At the end of September Samsung started the first update to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean in Poland.
But Samsung decided to push back this update, the reason was because a battery drain and some interface bugs.
Since this week the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update is out for Korea.
Samsung will start with steps to update the other countries.
We expect the most updates this month for the most countries.

The Jelly Bean update will have a few enchantments like:
- Better performance, thanks to Project Butter it’s even smoother and faster
- Reorganized settings menu
- 2 Home screen modes
- New Notifications bar
- Google Now
- Sizable Pop-up play screen

Follow steps from here, got a video clip to show you how to do it, quite simple. I'm also using it for my S3, no problem/issue so far.
