Hi all, just want to ask a few question. pardon me if this question already been asnwered from the previous thread. is my line capable of 4mbps package? i apply for 4mbps package but they give a 1mbps package. when i call, they said my area is NOT 4mbps-supported (based on their system). btw, seem like my area does not have a fibre optic cable as nobody seems to dig around burying a cable. please see the attach file. thanks!

QUOTE(darkskies @ Nov 8 2012, 10:11 PM) yeap. Though i use this to email them. It'll generate a standard format instead of us arranging the format ourself.Remember to select category as broadband. Most important to fill in is the telephone number tied to ur broadband. your method is really helpful. they did reply me back in 24-hours and ask some question about my application. will update again once they sent another reply. Added on November 11, 2012, 2:52 pmQUOTE(squall0833 @ Nov 3 2012, 01:24 PM) actually they only need to change your port at their side
just to make sure your line is eligible to handle the 4Mbps rate so there's a technician or contractor will go there and make sure everything is working as it should
what do you mean by ' port at their side'? i call my installer the other day and he said, he cannot find the 4mbps port at the DSLAM where my line in connected to. but he did test my line at said my house is capable of handling the 4mbps package. QUOTE(darkskies @ Nov 11 2012, 10:12 PM) Port at their side i assume is referring to the DSLAM. Usually i think most users will provide their location/address to tmpoint customer service/helpline. Their system when entered with the provided information will usually return nothing. Maybe providing them with the service number*the tel no tied to ur streamyx* might yield a different result. Just my guess. Ur installer mention that it's capable of handling 4mbps means ur line is eligible for 4mbps. It's just that requires tm side to activate it only. Their RM140 plan quite attractive. one wireless modem and one wireless dect phone free.Though i'll still put the useless modem aside lol. And unlike unifi , if landed property during thunderstorm =.="...... no streamyx for you. Unless you want the thunder to come in through your telephone line and fry off everything. some updates. After the last email i sent to TM, someone call me(yesterday-12/11/12) and confirm that my area did support the 4mbps packages. when i ask, why i call TM 100 they said my area does not have the required port, she reply me back, "their system is not up to date". i feel like laughing when she said that. lol. now, need to wait 3-working days for the 4mbps to come. thats what she told me.
