Just a question. To upgrade Streamyx from 1Mbps to 4Mbps, does TM technician/contractor need to go on-site for installation or they will just update user account profile from their side?

QUOTE(d3v073d_50uL @ Feb 19 2014, 12:38 PM) Yeah.. I do realize that when I did uploading to YouTube, the DSL lost sync a few times. Other than that for normal usage the DSL is pretty stable & download speeds on SpeedTest is a little more than what I paid for (4Mbps). Of course the upload speed is just a pathetic 400++kbps (512kbps advertised). Due to limitations of ADSL, I don't think TM can do anything to improve the upload speed.I do a lot of uploading.... the terrible upload speed + frequent DC is two of the reason why I downgrade back... But nowadays... 1mbps seems to be not enough... Moreover.. i'm sharing it with 2 other people in the house... *sighh* |

QUOTE(htpkevin @ Aug 7 2014, 01:41 PM) hi guys. Just a small question, i'm currently using 1Mbps line, planning on upgrading to 4Mbps. However my fren told me that the only thing affected is the max download speed, latency etc doesn't affect much actually. Just wanna clarify Yup.. your upload speed is only 512kbps. Better go for UniFi if it's available. |
