Near field communication, or NFC, is a short-range communication technology that enables devices to exchange information with other NFC-enabled devices or other NFC products, much like the way a card reader scans and reads a credit card.

IMPORTANT: - All tags do not come pre-programmed. - Pre-programmed tags should work natively with all NFC enabled phones, but certain tasks that modify the root function(s) of the phone (i.e. Turn on GPS) will only work for rooted Android phones. If you are not certain, please feel free to drop us a message here or by email to confirm. - For Android users, we recommend you to download "NFC Task Launcher" or "AnyTAG NFC Launcher" (our Malaysian partner) app from Google Play store to freely configure your own tags (this includes setting and erasing pre-programmed tags). - All tags are not metal friendly, so ensure that you do not attach on metallic surfaces.

Yes, in fact, all NFC tags are programmable with a NFC app available from Google Play Store. We highly recommend NFC Task Launcher. So when you have a new contact number next time, you just have to re-encode your tag using the app.
P/S: Normally there's a write option to 'lock' your tag. So, remember not to 'lock' your tag, because once you do that, it will be read-only.

NFC Personal Contact Card is it programmable? i mean can we update our contact number later on using Google Play software to customize it right?
Card only got one design? can we stick any custom sticker on top of it? I want to customize it so its look like normal business card do u have plain card?
This post has been edited by ejoeflizzow: Oct 4 2012, 03:47 PM
That's the only design we have currently. We do not offer customization of designs unless orders come in a bulk (i.e. 200 pieces at a go). We're working hard to get our hands on equipments so that we can offer this service. Would you want to try out the one we have and maybe we can notify you next time when we offer the service?
does this work to give password to guests when at our home? ie. turn on wifi and enter wifi password.
Yup. There are different apps to achieve this, Instawifi would be a pretty good app. The guest would have to download the app before being able to tap and access your wifi. The guest, without the app, can tap on the NFC tag and he/she will be led to the app download page in the Google Play Store. Or you can even transfer your app from your phone via NFC.
1x 'Home Mode' Tag, 1x 'Car Mode' Tag, 1x 'Work Mode' Tag, 1x 'Night Mode' Tag is this all can b customized by using the nfc tag launcher?what the diferent with Standard Lifestyle Sticker?

All our tags are re-programmable with any NFC app available Play Store.
The mode tags are decorated with common mode identifiers (car, home, night, office) and in different colors than the standard tag. The difference is only decorative.
Our NFC tags can help you simplify tasks and save time whether you're in your car, at home or in your office. For example, when you step into your car, you would set your bluetooth, turn on GPS, set Car Mode, open Maps app, play music etc. It is very tedious to accomplish all tasks, more so when you're rushing. With our NFC tag on your car, you can accomplish all these tasks with just one simple 'tap'! These tags are re-programmable using a free app (e.g. NFC Task Launcher from Google Play Store).
Hope I answered your question.
Please do not hesitate to follow up.

Hey hebehow,
Any NFC tags currently in the market should be able to perform all the task using any apps that are available in the Google Play Store (not only NFC Task Launcher). However, if you're using a Blackberry (sadly ) you may not be able to configure the and use certain tags (i.e. our Personal Contact Card) due to compatibility issues (and of course lack of app support).

Nope, all you need to do is to turn NFC on (please note that not all phone models have NFC at the moment). Bluetooth and WiFi are different technologies altogether.

Dear evoangel,
We're are not too sure ourselves as we have not really tested on the Blackberry platform. Big chance that you may not be able to use the Personal Contact Card because of compatibility issues as well. If you have tried with any Blackberry NFC apps, please do give us some feedback as well.

Hi Evoangel,
Even though we have not fully tested NFC on the BlackBerry platform, based on our research, in order to fully utilize NFC function on your phone, you need two paid apps called NFCShortcuts and ShortcutMe. Please read this article for more details on how to use NFC on BB: http://crackberry.com/how-use-nfc-tags-blackberry.
Also note that our Personal Contact Card, which uses the Mifare Classic standard, is not supported by the BlackBerry platform unfortunately. However, all other tags are supported by BlackBerry.
If you're interested, try our tags out and give us some feedback. =)

If so, where can cod? Faster i get the items, the better.
Dear yellow_label2207,
The quickest method at the moment is by Poslaju/Posekspress as we are all caught up with work. Both post methods only require 1 day to reach, with extra RM6 for Poslaju and RM3 for Posekpress. We would be happy to take bank transfer in the case if you could not purchase via our website here.
Sorry but the Samsung Galaxy Note I from our region does not hav NFC. There is a list of phones that supports NFC on the first post of our thread. Please check before making a purchase of your new phone.

Hey ymir06kw,
Thanks for interest! Yes the different mode tags are decorative purpose for users to easily differentiate the uses for each tags. Users are to program the tags using NFC apps from Google Play Store, we do not pre-configure it with any settings.

Hey b7tchinc,
Yes you can make a switch from the tag. If you're using the NFC Task Launcher app, simply create a task for bluetooth on and another separate task for bluetooth off. Then, when you encode/program the tag, you will need to create a New Switch tag, which you will put bluetooth on and bluetooth off. Your tag will become a switch to turn on/off your bluetooth each time you tag it.
Responsive and polite seller, definitely recommended
Wasn't too thrilled with the condition of the product when I collected it at PosLaju though. It was just an envelope containing printed A4 paper with the NFC stickers + card stuck to it. The envelope certainly looked battered due to inconsiderate handling by PosLaju. Some corners of the stickers had become bent but fortunately the stickers themselves were not creased so it's still usable. The counter girl didn't help much by proceeding to rip off the consignment note from the envelope with force without bothering about the content.
I'd like to suggest including a hardbacked cardboard in the envelope when posting, especially to places outside Klang Valley (I live in Kuantan) where it would more likely survive the rough handling and transportation.
Now looking for nice ways to programme the stickers.
Cheers

What is the different between Standard Lifestyle NFC Tag vs NFC Personal Contact Card? in term of how it can be program?
Hi Xanacon,
The difference is that NFC Personal Contact Card has higher capacity than the NFC tag. NTAG tags normally store up to 144kb, whereas Mifare 1k can store up to 770+kb of data.

Yes it can be reprogrammed anytime if you don't make the tag read-only... There's a feature for locking the tags on NFC Task Launcher app (for example), but as long as you don't select it, you can reprogram again and again.

Good to know that you have the best Android smartphone! Yes, it's compatible with Nexus 4, except for our Personal Contact Card, which is based on the Mifare technology which Nexus 4 doesn't support.
Greatly interested in your products. But is it compatible with my Lumia 920?
Hi there,
Our product is indeed compatible with Lumia 920. But bear in mind, there are several actions that can't be achieved with the Windows platform, such as changing connection settings.
Other than that, most actions can be performed with available NFC apps in the marketplace.

i read that the mifare 1k is not NFC compliant, and not supported by latest devices such as Nexus. but why is it still being sold as a 'NFC' card? Can you kinda explain a bit more? Thanks.

Hi,
In fact, Mifare is NFC compliant and can be used on most NFC enabled smart phones, with the exception of Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 and some blackberry devices. Since Mifare is a standard developed by NXP, phones with NXP NFC chip will automatically support it.
Also to note, Samsung Tectiles are using exactly Mifare too.

Very interesting product and I might say the price is really really good.
This is a very interesting question. I have a quite similar question though.
Can the tag be used by two handphones, let say me n my partner (both galaxy notes 2) If I programmed it to switch on bluetooth and switch it off again when I tap at second time..
What will happened if first phone I tapped (switch on bluetooth) and then I tapped the second phone. Will it recognised two phones or will it switch off bluetooth on the second one?
Hope you can understand my question
..and yeah one more thing.. Can the sticker survived the scorching heat if put in a dashboard of a car here in sunny Malaysia?

Hi there,
That is a great question. In fact, we have tried it with NFC Task Launcher by Tagstand, and it worked like a charm. The first person who taps on the sticker will turn on, the second person that taps will turn on as well! The tag recognizes which phone and at what state it is (on / off). So, you and your partner can use them together without a glitch!

Wow.. I am really amazed on your prompt reply.
Now I really need to decide which package to choose from. Somehow I think the Hangtag looks more durable than the sticker.

I have been using NFC chip for few days, find it very useful when I'm driving (set bluetooth on, turn on tomtom & music player) and during meeting (set silent on)

Hi Hakim,
Unfortunately, our PCC is and will not be compatible with Nexus 4. As there are not many devices in the market with this incompatibility, we have no plans currently to replace our PCC with another NFC standard.
However, be rest assured that all our other products are fully compatible with Nexus 4.
hi, are the tags reprogrammable using nokia 808?? What apps do i require???
Hi, Yes, the tags are reprogrammable using Nokia 808. However, you'll require an app for it.. A quick look at the Ovi Store turns up NFC Interactor, the leading app on Windows platform too. I believe NFC functionality wise, Symbian is still far less than Android.
Can we use the personal card for other use such as turn off music, turn off wifi etc? One more thing. I live around PJ in seksyen 16. Do you have a physical store around me? Or can COD in MidValley?
Hi... Are all the accessories compatible with BlackBerry Z10?
Hi there,
Everything is compatible with BlackBerry Z10, except for our Personal Contact Card. We would recommend you to use our Hang Tags and the Standard Lifestyle NFC pack.
nice stuff bro....do you know any apps to programme the tags for Z10?
PM me bro....
Hi there,
For the Z10, there's actually a native NFC writer app, but the function is pretty limited. However, there is a paid app called ShortcutMe which costs 2.99 dollars, which could almost mimic Android functionality.

can this NFC tag store data (write/delete) unlimited times? Or it's just one time for storing data (like burning blank CD)
Hi, our NFC tags are rewriteable unlimited times. You can also write-protect the tag so that it can't be reprogrammed. We do that sometimes for security purpose for businesses.

In other words it is protected via a password? or it is permanently programmed into the tag?

No, actually it's programmed and locked physically on the tag itself if you choose the write protect option. Are you planning to use it for personal uses? Normally, we don't write-protect the tags for personal uses.

I'm a HTC one user too and I'm loving the NFC function on this phone. It's located near the camera so it's easy to tap!
