wonder how u guys hunt for trophy..it is more stressful than fun isnt it? games are meant to enjoy not stress i thought.
*
I guess it's really depends on your playstyle. By playstyle I mean are you hunting trophy for ranking or personal satisfaction.

There are games with harder to plat conditions, which involves a higher degree of difficulty (continue, die continue die.. sweat.gif ) and insane amount of time to achieve one silver/gold trophy. You might even at times encounter a missable trophy which makes you having to replay the whole game again just for one miserable bronze/silver trophy, further boosting your tension. Which makes you wonder why are you playing this game while you can get a gold trophy easier else where.

Among the way to solve this is to plan your roadmap. There is no end to trophy hunting, the hunt doesnt stop at 20, 500, 1,000 or 10,000 plats. (so its basically a death march sweat.gif joke joke...) I have meet ppl who are satisfied with just 20 plats of games that they like while some with higher goals. Either way, you are the one who are setting your goals and playstyle. This may sound general and repetitive, but go for the games you like and work towards platting it. Example i like games like Resonance of Fate, Star Ocean, XCOM, Ace Combat Assault Horizon, Warhammer Space Marines. These games takes a insane amount of hours to complete (online/offline) while i know games like Hanna Montana is just out side of the door for a same trophy score (no offence to Hanna biggrin.gif , just an example.) I do run these game for trophy, but also mainly because they are the genre that attracts me. My first plat, XCOM i game over 7 times and lost almost 40 hours of gameplay ending in a game over thank you for playing screen. I shut the TV and swear, but i know what i/we signed up for. I push on until i saw the platinum, it was one of the most satisfying moment.

Another way to keep the progress possitive is to interact with similiar trophy hunter. Trust me, hunting alone or just lurking in forums will just make the trophy hunting journey monotonous, lonely and sad. Get online, post some new findings, invite ppl to trophy hunt with you, lament about the crazy things that happened in your trophy hunting, giving ppl a heads up so they wont fall into the same hole, make a wrong post/statement and possibly get flamed lol.. laugh.gif The more you experiment, the more you know what are the boundaries acceptable in a community. The same goes for trophies. Trial and error. Example: unless you are really good/above average in fighting games, dont go for stuff likestreet fighter IV, the last boss in hard mode, he will make you his personal b**tch laugh.gif Know your limits. thumbup.gif

So stressful while playing hannah montana and girlfriend looking out wondering what the heck I'm doing tongue.gif

Just a thought, playing Hannah makes feel like PS3 should have more rhythm based games (like those you find in the Arcade) coz I really like them especially if the mechanics r great (cue Patapon for PSP). Let see how the Miku Hatsune for PS3 pans out when its launched next month. Should be great!

Agree. Back in the old days like Parappa the rapper (Go to 2.01), these bring back some memories. Looking forward to Child of Eden soon hmm.gif

Miku is coming out on PS3? I know someone is going to be very happy about this whistling.gif cool.gif

Looking for a 3 man trophy hunting team for Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine online trophy. Best if you have the Chaos Unleashed DLC. Among the most challenging trophy will be the "True Son of The Emperor" - Kill 40,000 enemies in the game (all game modes combined).

Coop hours - 8.00pm - 12.00pm weekdays.

"You will do the Chapter proud, Space Marines. Do not let go of that bolter's trigger. THIS IS WHERE THEY DIE"
laugh.gif Let me know if you are interested and i will add you to the lists. Thank you.

very slow plating games these days haha sweat.gif wish I could get 100th plat before end of this year
*
Same goes here. Used to be able to sit in front of TV 3-4 hours trying to plat something. But now feel can do more productivity things with 1 hour finding info/selling things. Warhammer 40,000 True Son of the Emperor trophy - 3250+ kills done, 36,750+ more to go.... Ace Combat Assault Horizon another 48 online hours more to go. *cough blood* Must... try to plat... all 49 unplat games.. in my list... before phat ps3... ylod..

The walking dead.

Prepare some dunkin donut + juice. Put niece at home for 1/2 day with the game walking dead. Come back home then 75% complete. Walla. Then just run through the balance for 100% plat.

Wicked evil trick cool2.gif

Yup, can imagine a mini economy where pro gamers advertise to help you plat wipeout or vanquish.
*
Thats sad.. I foreseen remote platting services becoming a commodity for trade where majority of the trophy scores online wont be genuine already sad.gifI have seen this happening in MMORPG before. Pay to win. Its not that serious yet, but slowly moving towards that direction.

Anyone wanna plat Eye pet with friends? lol.. Nieces put the game disc in my PS3 now its there as uncomplete. I need to pet pets for few hours now. laugh.gif

Maybe they should put an asterix next to the trophy to indicate it wasn't done by you. Then when you complete it on your own the asterix disappears. Yeah, I don't think so. Lol.

Half way thru borderlands. I can see where the below par aliens AI in ACM everyone is complaining abt comes from. The enemies are hella stupid.
*
Hey you are running borderlands? I was running that too few weeks back. Completion rate now.. 5%? lol. hook me up if you wanna coop. I hate doing trophies in solo mode. Coop ftw thumbup.gif

I did all coop already, just need the viral 1 which I will do last.

For coop you can do 15 missions solo, exit game and reenter via splitscreen coop. Then just turn in the 15 missions and it will count as coop missions completed.

Did the duelling trophies in splitscreen too.
*
Not really running it for specific online trophy, but just looking for someone who is running the story mode completion only. Great games like borderlands is best do in coop.

@roxor, great game. I trololed so loud at the finger gun. Rock fever on, necromorphsis!

U don 't really need 4 players... now i remember doing it with some random just the 2 of us but we 2 controller each.
*
I know. But just want to run through the whole thing with 4 players coop for maximum fun while getting some minor trophies along the way. I already got my niece ready for sackboy run this Sunday. Looking for 2 more sack dude to join in the chaos run. (which i know is a wishful thinking. Who would wanna play old games when LBP 2 is already long out tongue.gif)
