one question to all the master here. currently im using my phone as modem and tether to my pc. download speed is OK, but the ping is quite high, around 160-210ms. can someone confirm if the speed using a better modem will lower ping? maybe someone can test and compare for me, pretty pls?
*
by my opinion, modem is more dedicated to the internet network, so it might work better than a phone, which has a mixture of a lot of stuff, phone currently can only work up till 7.2mbps, but on a modem, you can find modems that run up till 42mbps dual channel

maxisbb / unet nod.gif

I use maxisbb 99% of the time, unet can't get me to good IP range

Anyway, it is area dependent

sorry, i'm a noob here. just asking, whats the diff between the Huawei dashboard and the connect manager i.e. mwconn and mdma?
*
dashboards give you less control on your modem configs then mdma, with mdma you can see network qos

my rssi on mdma is 7x but speed still okay, i'm designing my answer to reply to maxis now, picking the speed when just start downloading, and use the 7x rssi to mess with them, the only thing left is account number, which the seller refuses to give me

You got the sim right? Go to maxis website, register the Online billing. Maxis will send PIN via SMS.
Then, login in. From that you able to view the account detail.

want to ask sifu's in here..

if i use extension usb cable like 1.5-3meters is it can affect my surfing performance or speed?..

coz i read in blacktubi antenna sale garage...it says that " The longer the coaxial cable the higher the transmission lost."..is it the same?

thx sifu's biggrin.gif..

the longer the cable is, the degrade is more, but at 3 meter, shouldnt be too siginificant
