now usb modem price is quite affordable,

u can consider to upgrade to better modem,

blacktubi have very good price too

best solution ( if u are dare enough + Adventures enough, )

open up cover, Add heatsink on front hot area, use a fan blowing at it,

above solution confirm power because i did it to my maxis set E372 ( which already handicap due to top part break off from the whole piece of board )

the Panel antenna + CRC9 convertor + E372 (open front cover add heatsink on it ) + direct plug in USB port + connect to UMTS900

due to my area UMTS2100 tower haywire only performs 3G 384Kbps only

lucky UMTS900 is still quite amazing consider yesterday my speed is 0.3~0.8Mbps only

when you open e372 cover, you need to have the smallest special shape screw driver to unscrew 3 screw. E372 cover is very tight. Need to be super careful and slow + gentle.

my zte mf680 tweaked to 33tx + panel antenna

working amazing though

can't use any lower tx after using 33tx. Confirm suffer like chicken

better contact your modem reseller,

u might need to tweak your E372 TX power from 23 tx ( original ) -> 26/27tx

and see more improvement

try to plug in other usb port,

and redo it again

if is working welll and u satisfy then leave it, unless have issue then u can consider tweaked it,

if yours is maxis set then better leave it. If is 3 set or huawei set then can try to flash it.

try unplug all other usb device and plug in E220 alone and see,..

have you ever update your E220 firmware ?

may be you can try to update the firmware to newer firmware and see whether it can work through QPST ?
