This will be my first ever build log. Only time i took pictures parts are when i am going to sell them.. smile.gif Hope all goes well!

This will be a very long term project as there are a lot of things that i have not gotten my hands on yet.. But i will be updating from time to time once i have the parts for this build in. So without any further bla bla, i give you the list of the items:

RAM: 48GB Samsung DDR3 1600mhz

GPU: 4-way SLI EVGA GTX 680 Classified

PSU: EVGA Supernova NEX1500 Classified

Storage: Samsung 830 256GB SSD

Optical drive: still looking for slot load Bluray drive (any idea where to find one?)

Casing: Little Devil LDPC-V8 inverted

Cooling:

- Swiftech Apogee Drive 2 CPU block x2

- EVGA GTX 680 Classified waterblock x4

- 3 x 480 rads

Oh u wanna tumpang ka? Shouldn't be a problem. I will let u know when I am going to purchase ya.

Added on September 29, 2012, 7:51 amI will definitely not be using push pull up top due to the size of the mobo. But if I want to, I think I will have to go with the slim factor rads like swiftech's or xspc's ex series. But I am looking at the alphacool UT60 rads.

High chance you need to run 2pcs Psu
Three 7970 and CPU pulls about 1200watts overclock
*
Not really. This PSU is meant for SR-2 and SR-X with dual CPUs and 4 GPUs. Its rated at 1500w but has a max output of 1650w. This freaking thing comes with 16 PCIE connectors! And the GTX 680 does not draw as much power as the HD7970 GPUs.

It depends on what you want actually. I would have gone with SR-X that supports LGA2011 dual sockets but it just doesn't overclock even if it meant taking its life. And you don't see a full on workstation running a single desktop processor. Mostly will still go with Xeons or even Opterons.

Woah.. good things always comes last ka? Haha.. hopefully my build will be up to the standards here le.. so many powerful modders!

Anyway, I have a question to ask u guys.. what fans dou think i should get for the rads? I will be going for Alpha cool UT60 480 rads. I know most will say GT AP-15.. but is there any other fans worth mentioning? I am considering XSPC Xinruilian fans at 2000rpm. They are damn cheap comparing to AP-15. And I was thinking of getting 38mm fans instead of 25mm.. but I am open to opinions..

fans are depended on you. Are you looking for better looks or better performance. If looks , pick the nicest looking with leds. If you look for better performance, you can go for a more higher air pressure fan.
*
I just want plain black ones... which is why fans like the XSPC and Yate Loons are my top choices.. so far AP-15 seems to be the only one that almost everyone thinks is the best fans for rads.. but I think I have decided to bite the bullet and get myself the XSPC fans.. hopefully they will last longer than everyone says because they are sleeved bearing fans.. need to get a bottle of oil to service them every 6 months..
