A very bad developer to watch out for:

PLENTIFIELD SDN BHD - Developers of Melaka Business Centre in Ayer Keroh

My experience with them:
- Bought a property in Sabah from them in 2009, a commercial shoplot run by Best Western hotel.
- Supposed to complete in Aug 2010.
- In Aug 2010 they told us delayed until Feb 2011.
- In Feb 2011 they told us delayed again until August 2011
- In Aug 2011 they told us delayed again until Feb 2012
- Now its Sep 2012 and property is still not handed over to me

- They are supposed to pay late interest of 8% pa to me. They refuse to pay.
- They are supposed to reimburse my loan interest payment (something like DIBS) - they refuse to pay for 2012
- They continually lied to us saying its completing soon and then suddenly they give me a letter saying that their engineers said in Nov 2011 asked for construction extension due to 'lack of manpower' and 'bad weather'.
- They are using said engineer's letter to get out of paying us late interest.

Overall, dishonest, lack of integrity, poor project management, poor customer service, poor everything.

Do not buy from this developer!!

If anyone has any other bad developers to share, it would be much appreciated also. Although these clowns are not blacklisted, we nee to know about them to save us alot of heartache!!

Sue them, and give letter of demand. Last time my developer also say all kind of excuse like ' found hard rock under the project site, need blasting', total delayed about 8 months, complete with consultant letter as well. Complete with pictures, monthly updates etc etc.

But gave re-imbursement more than 40K, use the money get free renovation. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Yaya...sue them. If possible, form a society gather all the buyers then appoint a lawyer to sue them! Fight for your right!!!

Gark - at least your developer is more honest and willing to re-imburse something... that is a more honorable way to do it..lucky for you!

As for suing them - yes, I am considering. Unfortunately standard HDA rules do not apply to commercial property.. they did not actually breach the contract because contract says they are allowed to not pay late interest if they have official letter from consultant like the engineers letter. So, not sure what is the chance of winning the case if we sue..

When you say Talam, you are referring to Trinity Corp? Because if not mistaken, they are now Trinity Corp?

There are two developers carried the name "Trinity". Trinity Corporation Bhd and Trinity Group of Company

If we said Zest is part of the Talam project, those LYN ppls in the Zest thread will get really piss off.

Yeah, I bet a lot of people keep asking the same question again and again. hehe. Trinity Group buiit Zest, Heron Residency, 19 Residence (all in Puchong) and got nothing to do with Trinity Corp

Did not get the re-imbursement straight away. Only after the joint buyers write letter to management, then only they give. Anyway the re-imbursement given as offset to loan. rclxms.gif

If you want to sue, must act fast before they go bankrupt. The late purchaser sue also will get nothing when their company wind up.

Hmm are you refering to the project in Melaka ??? As i know it is not even complete yet so how come they owe you late interest???
are you refering to some other project?

Involves risk. Unlucky, can cause headache and heartache. Unless from reputable developers (SPS, IJM, SD...) best is to buy what you see.

They only had 2 condos completed, either multi problems first ever project Heron or Zest ...
