Nope. Actually My place is in the Middle of SG and KL.. Consider the warranty thingy, KL will be better anyway. The Official iPhone 5 Discussion Thread v2, 18% Thinner, 20% Lighter, 4" Retina

So even though Maxis launch the iPhone 5, it will only be available in KL right ?
Sigh, don't know still need to take how long for nation-wide launch. |

QUOTE(Dimiberbs @ Oct 5 2012, 06:57 PM) Dunno, apparently the first batch is the problematic one. Actually the scratches + purple glare issues had already been classified as "Normal" by Apple executive.Scratches + purple glare can claim for warranty ? I doubt so. So, no matter which batch you are going to be, the 2 problems will always exists. So, either take it or leave it |

QUOTE(Heero Yuy @ Oct 6 2012, 10:45 PM) I understand, I'm a very heavy user and I charge my battery average twice a day, sometimes even charging 3 times. I use to swap batteries on my S2 until I got myself an backup battery, which is much more practical than swapping batteries tbh. Very mafan to turn off than take battery out then in and on again. The biggest problem is when the battery is spoilt after repeated heavy usage after the warranty period.. And each time u boot your phone, it consumes a huge amount of power which really hurts the battery. Replacing the battery of iPhone really cost a lot more than those battery replaceable-ready phone. |

QUOTE(baretta @ Oct 7 2012, 12:31 AM) It is not difficult to replace the battery. Around 10 min kawtim lor. And batt for iphone not so expensive compare samsung lor. Need to take into account that a skilled person is required to perform the battery replacement, so that add on the the cost on battery replacement as well.Where as normal phone don't need any skill to replace the battery, juz open back cover and replace. Overall, besides the non-user-replaceable battery on iPhone, I can say everything is perfect |

QUOTE(jsc_tidus @ Oct 8 2012, 12:53 PM) hopefully the iPhones is one of the selected models valid for the rabate.. if u ask what my guess is, it would be those lower-tier android phones.. +1I don't think high-end model will be included. Model like S3, Note 2, iPhone most probably won't be selected. My guess would be those phone below RM 1k |

QUOTE(sorethroat @ Oct 8 2012, 05:24 PM) if they will sell on 19, maybe we need about another month if wanna buy without contract. at that time.. second market will mark up price for 16g about rm2500 for our telco set. Just buy from online Apple Store then. Wait a few weeks with RRP and no-contract. As easy as ABC if finish stock.. within a week.. sure rm2800.. almost same.. better buy next year.. |

QUOTE(baretta @ Oct 8 2012, 05:30 PM) Those premium reseller usually got only ultra-limited stock. Some APR like Switch and Mac City sometimes doesn't get any iPhone stock at all, where as Machines will be selling the iPhone along with Maxis Plan I think the most secured and non-hassle way is still the Online Apple Store |

QUOTE(baretta @ Oct 8 2012, 06:02 PM) That one last time lor. Same as singapore. Agreed! But for those who just wanted to buy it outright, no choice.About limited stock, well wat to do. Online also cannot guarante enough stock Either sit in front of computer and wait for the Online Apple Store to open-up for buying, or line-up and compete with other buyer who wish to purchase with plan(higher priority). But line-up doesn't mean will secured you a non-contract iPhone. Therefor, sitting in front of computer is still a better route |
