well the rule is there but its not enforced. i once saw a gathering of balisong flippers 10 yrs ago and cops do nothing about them. i guess the enforcement here in malaysia is different in the us.

i heard places in kelantan got aplenty of them. but all of them are cheap china made ones. you need to buy health insurance before you start flipping them. dont want to wound up like a friend of mine....

Added on June 29, 2010, 12:30 amjust sharing. btw i bought this like 10 years ago. still flipping it and unbroken so far. just some loose joints making it flimsy and feeling fragile. the blade still holds, the last time i sharpen it was when i accidentally dropped the knife point first straight to the floor. the brand of the balisong is jaguar. experts should know its the best in mid range quality balisongs. bought 2 of this during the time. already sold one to some guy on the internet. dunno if i can get more of a knife of this quality.

C-note: Nice haul bro. whats the brand of the one youve bought? Photos plz. btw if you've seen a jaguar balisong like the one in the pic, feel free to share man. currently looking for a replacement.

i think the one in bronze is a jaguar benchmade ripoff.
and the build is pretty good too. the handle consist of one piece of metal, jeff smith's is totally going to recommend this.

like i said in my previous post, the cops are probably jealous of us for having cool flipping knives and they cant use them during enforcement due to practicality issues.

its a dumb theory but my friend got police clearance despite owning an easily hidden kerambit in his car once. and my other friend got kicked out from a shopping mall by the security guards for flipping out his brand new balisong.

it sucks when the cooler something is, the harder it is to get it due to haters gonna hate.

in a turn of irony, do anyone have any balisongs for sale? preferably a jag. been searching whole south east asia for one to no such luck. Reason? my beloved has come to old age and i have to secure her in a wooden casket soon and for man such as me i have to fill the emptiness in my heart with an another. If i knew this earlier, i wouldve taken whole stock of them flippin, flippin knife 6 years back.
