Anyone using power bank? Im trying to get one for my s3..need recommendation..tq
*
using yoobao 11200mAh. huge, bulky, but extremely worth the money.
the size and weight of the power bank is understood. just look at that capacity!
can charge my S3 more than 4 times! biggrin.gif

i love how they keep poking fun at apple hahaha.

but most of the people i know who use iphones are using iphones for only 1 reason. Apps and games. Which is undeniably true that app store has way more nicer games than play store does.. hmm.gif

i was hoping for a pink s3 during the day of release.. after 3 months of buying a white s3, they only release a pink version

WALAOWEI doh.gif

edit: the pink looks weird. it's like a milky pink colour. eww. i prefer the hot pink version (a la galaxy note)

peel off as in due to pocket friction, then dust will build up underneath.

that wasn't a fair drop test.
*
why not fair?

anyway i'm not surprised that the S3 is prone to massive damage when dropped.

if i'm not mistaken, from what i heard from a droptest video not too long ago, the reason why the S3's screen shatters easily is because of the way samsung assembled the LCD+glass together or something like that.

basically saying, the entire impact is transferred to the glass due to the way it is assembled.

S3 is known to be fragile. I knew that even before I bought the phone. The that is why going naked with s3 is suicide. Iphone 5 < built quality is very impressive. Almost like the phone insist it should be naked
*
I use my S3 without SP but only with a ultra thin back cover (to prevent from scratches)

I accidentally managed to snap my back cover (battery door) when removing it to swap the SD card.

I have to say, samsung did a horrible job on build quality for this phone. Anyhow, still an awesome phone tongue.gif

as i understand about gadget, the more powerful it is, the more fragile it would be,
maybe because more money is put into technology rather than the building, it kinda balance the cost,
for example my motorola defy, not as powerful, but the build, it already withstand my niece atomic bomb drop, can celup inside water some more.
*
that totally explains why all the old nokia phones are durable as bricks tongue.gif

im interested in this S3, but i have few questions before buying it. Hope you guys can answer me this.
1. Batt life? How is the batt life compared to iPhone? I had a Gnex and the battery was terrible.

2. Any known problems? AMOLED burn-in issue?
*
1. Batt life is great with this phone.

2. correct me if i'm wrong, AMOLED burn in issues are very normal for every amoled screens that are old. usually AMOLEDs will start to burn-in after 3-5 years.

What casing is nice for this S3? I like to have it protected all around the corners/sides.

i see lots of people using Spigen SGP Neo Hybrid
http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/samsung/g...lor-series.html

looks really good to me. here's a review video.

I personally don't have it because I prefer using super thin casings, but if you're looking for style + protection, neo hybrid seems to fit you perfectly smile.gif

Finally I took 1st step to root my s3!!

was trying CF-Root method. every guideline was followed but whn switch on my phone, I didn't see CWM manager and SuperSU installed!!!

here the step I did:
1. Go to Settings. -done
2. Click on About device. -done
3. Find out your SGS3 Model number. Make sure that it’s GT-I9300 or GT-I9300T. -done
4. Then power off your phone. -done
5. Press and hold down Volume Down + Home + Power buttons at the same time. -done
6. Press Volume Up button when warning prompt. -done
7. Odin download mode will be loaded. >>is this means just open the Odin?<< -done
8. Connect USB cable to your phone. -done
9. At PC, extract CF-Root .tar file that you downloaded to CF-Root folder.  -done
10. Then bring up Odin3. -what this mean?
11. Click on PDA. -done
12. Select the .tar at CF-Root folder.  -done
13. Click Start then. -done
14. Remove USB cable from your phone when you see green PASS! at Odin3. -done
!!!!15. After Android loaded, you should see CWM Manager and SuperSU installed. -NO CWM AND SUPERSU INSTALLED!!

so do I consider rooted or?

Pls help... new to rooting and flash stuffs... =/
*
if there's no superSU installed = no root.

Last time when i first rooted my phone, it had superSU but no CWM. I didn't realise it until a few weeks later when i needed to use CWM.

What i did was i just re-root my phone using the same method, and my phone finally had CWM.

So what i'm trying to say is that i suggest you should try rooting again smile.gif

oohhhh my god!  vmad.gif  vmad.gif  vmad.gif  ..need send to SC warranty

i also have one on the bottom left of my phone. i went to a samsung shop (not service center), the worker said i can try sending to SC but they probably won't let you claim warranty since it's considered as "user damaged".

i have yet to go to SC myself to claim because got no free time, but i think you should try going anyway and see how it goes ohmy.gif
