Stock 4.1.1 JB from Poland so far so good.

Really enjoying the smoothness and new things that samsung added.

I recommend it to anyone who is thinking of flashing it!

i've never tried the leaked JB firmwares before, so the stock JB from poland is my first time using JB.

I'm really surprised by how smooth it is compared to ICS. Even CM10 on my friend's S2 isn't THIS smooth.
Heck, I've never even thought any smartphone could be as smooth as THIS.
Quadcore + JB = GOOD

i uninstalled most of the samsung bloatwares (allshare, chaton, etc). I wonder how it feels like using AOKP

did samsung make the status bar in the homescreen grey-ish colour in 4.1.1?

i flashed it yesterday, everything is excellent for me so far. Everything is superbly smooth.
I even find that battery life is improved too

I realised JB takes up some battery when idle

I seem to get about 5% battery drain with stock poland JB, compared to only 1-2% drain on previous malaysian stock ICS when idle

maybe it's something about poland's JB that's incompatible with ours. Hopefully malaysian JB will optimize everything

i agree that JB is quite power saving in normal use.
that's why it makes me wonder why it drains more battery than ICS when idle

and my definition of idle (for myself) is leaving my phone unplugged, overnight for about 8 hours without use.

usually with ICS, i only get about 1% drain. but with JB, i get about 5% drain

guys how come after i flash poland 4.1.1 JB using mobile odin pro, everytime i restart my phone, it will say "android is upgrading, starting apps". is it normal?

battery drain somehow alot during idle.

i have betterbatterystats, so far it pointed to google maps for the partial wakelocks.

i just tweaked the settings of google maps today, gonna see if it improves battery idle

Running 4.1.1 JB stock Poland

I killed the apps that i suspected made my phone drain battery when idle.

But still, i'm getting 10% battery drain from 12hours of idle..

I used to only get about 2-3% of battery drain after 12hours of idle on 4.0.4 stock.

i found that maps WAS the main cause for the partial wakelocks. I tweaked the settings for maps and it stopped showing up in partial wakelocks.
(tweaking the settings for maps really did eliminate the wakelocks that can be seen in the battery graph)


But i'm still getting battery drain when idle.. the top attribute for partial wakelocks in BBS is "audio_out".
I'm gonna try turning off all of the keypad sounds / unlock sounds in the settings and see how it goes tonight

Hey guys, as most of you know, when your device battery drops below 5%, somehow the phone will become extremely power saving (provided power saving mode is on the whole time).

I'm just wondering, is it possible to make the phone be in that state of extreme power save the WHOLE time? (e.g from 100% battery onwards)
