That whole exynos processor being not fit for custom roms is bullshit. Even more so when he compared it to the Samsung galaxy s ii G and non G version. How many custom roms available for the non G version I used which was uber stable either ICS or GB.

QUOTE(rakyat @ Sep 26 2012, 10:39 AM) Yesterday my toddler dropped my S3 fr the stairway (5 steps up). He was taking my phone upstairs and when I called out to him, he turned around and drop the phone. Sometimes it depends on the angle that it falls on and the ricochet as well... I dropped my SII before on the tarred road and it landed on it's side, survived with a barely visible line scratch. I had a pathetic cover on it back then.Phone has a rubber casing and suffered no damage what so ever - seems like the 'fragile screen' problem is overexaggerated. If drop from 5 steps oso cannot crack then I wonder how high the earlier reported cases were dropped from? The build quality of the SII and SIII is similar, so I would expect the SII and SIII to have the same hardiness. Imagine if you only dropped it from waist down but the ricochet caused it to bounce and fall flat on the ground again, it would cause serious damage... if it only fell and sorta landed dead on, then it should be alright |

Hmmm.. that's weird. Otterbox should fit fine. Try refitting it again and it should snap back. No?

I think what alexlimco is asking is JUST FOR THE SAKE of battery life, people flash custom ROMs. right?
well, it does kind of make sense as well that rooting and flashing a custom ROM 'might' save you some battery life. Because by rooting it allows the removal of a lot of software that could be eating your battery life or actually finding out in the first place which software is eating away juice. In other words, if we literally removed ALL networking apps like viber/facebook or even the samsung softwares like the updates and accounts, of course logically battery life will be better right? That is an extreme example of course... Though some apps can be removed without root, I think BBS and TiBU requires root to be used to it's fullest advantage. |

Nova prime will not interfere with smart stay.
Long charging times could be due to many things. Try resetting battery stats, if all else fails, you can always get a spanking new one |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Oct 3 2012, 10:23 AM) Msian LTE for all telcos is 2600mhz Hey ben,Only phones that support this band will benefit - most Samsung, HTC has multi band support Iphone5 works only on 1800mhz so is virtually useless here. It is usable in certain parts of spore n dependent on telcos as some telcos only 2600 mhz while others both 1800 n 2600mhz bands Do you know which article or source says that? Just asking cause I find this to be interesting and just started googling about it.. so far: 1. http://www.soyacincau.com/tag/lte-malaysia/ has confirmed that at least Maxis will be offereing 4G and it is true that it'll be at 2.6Mhz http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2375852/all however mentions about having a 1.8Mhz freq as supplementary? reliable source? 2. About S III's LTE frequency... so far, I couldn't find an exact one.. so far I only found frequencies for the GSM and 3G frequencies... neither have 2.6Mhz.. LTE frequencies always listed as (depending on market) but if the SII 4G LTE is any indication, then http://www.samsung.com/hk_en/consumer/mobi.../GT-I9210DAATGY does show that the LTE freq is 2.6Mhz. Should be the same with the S III eh? OR should I just be a bummer and say ours have no hope for LTE? hehehehe... I think that's more like it right? 3. About fruity phones frequency... wow... that'll be such a bummer right? I thought that at least 1 of the iPhone 5's will have our frequency because they announced 3 different versions of the iPhone to have 'international LTE coverage'.... but all the sites at the bottom do not point at all to the 2.6Mhz frequency. Which (even if later they really do have the 1.8Mhz supplementary line?) is the LTE dominant line of M'sia http://appleinsider.com/articles/12/09/12/...al_lte_coverage http://www.engadget.com/2012/09/12/apple-iphone-5-lte/ http://techcrunch.com/2012/09/20/iphone-5-...cape-in-europe/ |
