The hunger in Podolski can clearly be seen... he's spent so much time at Koln already and must have felt unlucky to not be able to play in bigger teams given his quality. Strong desire to win and always track back to defend too, great value for his mere 9m price tag.

I'm still uncertain about Gervinho, he may be the fastest dribbler but he seems to stumble a lot when surrounded and looks like headless chicken not knowing whether to pass or shoot.

They listed Arteta as captain instead of Podolski

Well, I thought it was Podolski as captain I don't know how I knew it but I remember it well because Podolski is a newcomer and I would have thought Arteta will wear the armband.

City after all is still a very respectable team. The players are classy and humble. There was quite a bad tackle by Cazorla on Yaya Toure and no card was given and yet Yaya smiling and all happy again after Cazorla apologised. There's also the Aguero possible penalty call but again, nothing happened.

Other team would have surrounded the referee and force a red card or a free kick which is just ugly to watch.

It's not quite working out for Gervinho at the moment playing CF, I hope he can be reverted back to LW where he can utilise his pace and let Podolski play CF since he can score. Gervinho's composure in front of goal isn't good enough and he always tumbled and fell when surrounded by defenders. Podolski's at least got the physical traits for him to fend off defenders.

Maybe start playing Walcott as CF and see if he can perform but he probably isn't playing CF because of his height... totally no aerial ability

Come on... its nor only two games but we have watched Gervinho play so many times in the past. He can't finish properly and he has troubles penetrating defense from the wing, what more centre?
