QUOTE(Mallow @ May 17 2011, 12:47 PM) The white color part on the live rock is the coral, it been like for almost 2 days already bro urs is not really green star polyps.. but rather look like skin polyps. GSP has purple skin while the latter is white. i think they like high intensity lights and good flow to come out.. sometimes GSP takes long time to come out

most people will take a crab out of a tank.. they may or may not eat ur lifestocks but they will definately create havoc for u.. they can dig holes in live rocks push coral down etc.. its pretty dif to get rid of crabs. Added on May 20, 2011, 12:39 pmQUOTE(SweetPuff @ May 20 2011, 11:38 AM) Some new shots of the buttons. Have a hard time getting the correct colours via my phone cam. The button polyps should be purplish red. I've also added 2 sexy shrimps since last week. And I just saw that I have a hitchiker. It's a crab the size of a 10sen coin. Yellowish brown in colour. Will it threaten my corals and shrimps? oh nice sexy shrimps.. where did u get them?? still available?? thanks This post has been edited by webwithoutwires: May 20 2011, 12:39 PM

QUOTE(SweetPuff @ May 23 2011, 10:55 AM) Yes it is 7.5in cube. Having experience with planted tanks helps a lot. Anyway, am planning to have a 2ft cube tank. Is 4x24w T5HO ok to keep anemone? And is a skimmer really needed if I do weekly waterchange? T5HO is one of the best alternatives for marine if ur on a budget. 2 feet cube means height is also 2 feet?? anemone depends on which type u going for.. some like it on sand but most like lights and flow. dont see any problems there skimmer depends. some nano reefer dont go for it.. but in general most will get one.. if u feed too much u need to remove the waste from ur tank. a however small tank willl beniefit from a skimmer.
