Quite hardy and make an excellent pet although many people consider it pest.. or even food.

Marine/Reef tank can use tap water? I read at some site say cannot and not good. But I use it for my marine tanks.. no problem so far. And any other water source is expensive for me, cannot afford. unsure.gif

Oh.. good to know that. Cos I read in many ang moh sites that its a newbie mistake to use tap water. Must use RO water and all that. But I keep my mantis shrimp few months seems quite ok. Molted once around CNY.

Another question, you know where to buy mantis shrimp? I bought mine from the Pet safari in Ikano, and I've never seen another one anywhere since then. I don't want those small ones that come as pest, I want big ones like mine.

The websites probably from some western country like USA. Is our tap water here very clean?
