Just got my N7 from a retailer at Lowyat plaza on ground floor. $950 For C90 batch local asus unit with 3 pin plug.

Also claimed my USD 25 successfully.

Still considering whether to root or not

Downloaded wugfresh's nexus toolkit 1.5.3 but it doesn't have the build number of my tablet. Mine is JRO03S while the drop down has only x03D although it does have 'android *.*.*' any build listed.

What option should I choose?

Had trouble rooting my jro03s with wugfresh toolkit too. Chose any build, used pdanet drivers, then raw and still stuck at bootloader. gave up and on stock now

I've just made a new purchase with my Google credits. It went thru ok. For the record, I have yet to change my info back to Malaysia address. Still on bogus US address and registered via American express card

The iPad is still the benchmark for viewing PDF documents.the iBooks app in iPad 3 renders PDF fast and displays it beautifully. I hv yet to find a similar app in android in terms of performance that can match ipad3 or iBooks.

I read the sun daily newspaper via PDF download from their website. Also, the edge financial daily renders faster on iPad too which is why I am still keeping the iPad 3 altho' I own the S3 and Nexus 7.

The main reason I like android is its tight integration to Google services. I love everything about google, right down to their mantra 'don't be evil'

Eh guys scratch every PDF reader you ever tried. Ive just tried Solo PDF Reader, it works very great on Nexus 7. Fast and quality render smile.gif

Thanks. Just downloaded solo PDF and tried reading the sun paper on it. Crashed a few times on me. I still think the incumbent adobe PDF reader app is best for android PDF rendering tho' still miles away compared to iBooks on iPad 3

Actually, it's rare for retirees to hv a liking for IT gadgets. Thought they prefer to play with their grandchildren and travel instead. Obviously, uncle Benny is a another breed. Very savvy too.
