Let's see, The cost of manufacturing is just  about 150usd for the 16gb model. (source on request) So google and Asus do make money. No company will do subsidizing.  it's too big of a risk. By reducing the price, they aim to sell huge volumes to make up the margin.

hi guys, im an apple user for long time and never tried android before, so now wanna try android tablet but im having hard time deciding whether should i go for nexus 7 or galaxy tab 2. i like all the specs of nexus 7 but the only problem is that i heard the screen crack easily, can anyone clarify this? isit true?

lol...that doesnt really answer my question...wanna know whether is the screen fragile or not as most people complain bout screen crack without even dropping it 

yea thats the problem...its real troublesome to claim warranty in US...*im studying in US now*

u have to send it bak via shipping and so on as the place im living dun hv any authorize shop so i can only purchase through online...

no idea i read tht even warranty doesnt cover tht screen crack and asus charging 150usd to fixed...while new 1 only cost 199usd...

for now is either nexus 7 or galaxy tab 2 7.0, apple is good but overprice for wat i wan to use it for....i basically only wan to use as ereader but its not worth to buy kindle since add a bit more i can get android tablet d...
